Total War: WARHAMMER III achievements (version 9.0.2)
The Lost God prologue
- A Mortal Wound Inflicted (Reliable). Win your first battle in the Chaos Wastes while you play the Prologue. It unlocks by itself as the story takes Yuri there, so there is nothing extra to do.
- Reverser of Ruin (Reliable). Capture a settlement in the Chaos Wastes during the Prologue. The story leads you to this capture, so it unlocks on its own as you play.
- Establish & Advance (Reliable). Construct 5 buildings during the Prologue. Buildings in any of your settlements count, so queue a build whenever you own a settlement with a free slot.
- Royal Ranks Ramped (Reliable). Fill Yuri's army with units during the Prologue. A full army is 20 units, and cheap infantry such as Kossars are the easiest way to fill the slots.
- Two Noble Heads (Reliable). Recruit a second Lord during the Prologue. You can disband that Lord straight afterwards if you do not want a second army.
- Self-Improvement (Reliable). Spend 10 skill points during the Prologue. The points do not have to go on one character, so spread them across Yuri and any Lords you recruit.
- Enchanted Arsenal (Reliable). Equip Yuri with one item of every type during the Prologue: an arcane item, armour, a talisman and a weapon. Check your quest rewards if one type is still missing.
- Spires to the Sky (Reliable). Fully upgrade a settlement during the Prologue. Growth and upgrades open once you capture a hostile settlement after taking Fort Dervingard. Build the growth buildings first, because they speed up the upgrades. The settlement only has to reach its own maximum level, not level 5, and minor settlements top out at level 3.
- The End of the Beginning (Reliable). Complete the Prologue campaign by playing the story to its end. An unhurried first run takes about 3.5 hours.
Lords, heroes and mounts
- Rising Power (Reliable). Get any Lord to level 10. Keep your starting Legendary Lord in the army that does the fighting and he gets there early in almost any campaign.
- Dominating Force (Reliable). Get a Lord to level 20. Keep leading the main army with the same Lord and level 20 arrives in the middle of a normal campaign.
- Peak Nobility (Reliable). Get a Lord to level 30. Legendary Lords cannot die, so keep using one through a long campaign and the level comes on its own.
- White Hat (Reliable). Have one Hero at level 10. Recruit a Hero early and keep them in your main army, so they gain experience from battles as well as from their own actions.
- Centres of Excellence (Reliable). Have two Heroes at level 20 at the same time. At level 20 a Hero can learn Immortality, which leaves them wounded instead of dead, so get that skill before you take risks. Putting one to three Heroes into your strongest army levels them fastest.
- The Height of Valour (Reliable). Have three Heroes at level 30 at the same time. It builds on Centres of Excellence, so level three Heroes together and keep them alive. Some Heroes have a Training skill that gives experience every turn.
- Sensational Steed (Reliable). Have a special mount. Many Lords and Heroes unlock one in their skill tree, usually after a level threshold. Look for the skill at the very top of the tree, not connected to the others, and take it.
- Elevated Excellence (Reliable). Have three special mounts. Unlock mounts on several characters, since each character usually gets one. If the achievement does not unlock, unequip and re-equip the mounts on the character details screen.
Battles, razing and campaign wins
- Talented Amateur (Reliable). Win 10 battles during a single campaign. Any battle counts, and the count belongs to one campaign, so it does not carry over to the next save.
- Professional Tactician (Reliable). Win 50 battles during a single campaign. Any decently long campaign reaches this, so just keep fighting in the same save.
- Blazing Besieger (Reliable). Win 25 siege attack battles during a single campaign. A siege attack is a fight where you attack a settlement and spend supply points on barricades and towers, so defending does not count.
- The Art of Surprise (Unconfirmed). Win 5 ambush battles during a single campaign. Put an army on the Ambush stance, if your race has it, on a route where enemy armies pass, then fight the ambush yourself. Reloading a save is fine, but closing the game between wins can stop the count from registering. Watch out: The count may fail to register if you quit to the desktop between wins.
- Obliterate the Odds (Check in game). Win a campaign battle in which the balance of power is overwhelmingly against you. The description says 10-to-1, but that is not about unit or model counts. Build one very tough Lord with ward saves and healing, strip the rest of the army, and attack a big enemy army or a heavily garrisoned settlement. Skarbrand is a common pick in the base game.
- Quest for Success (Reliable). Fight a quest battle. Each Legendary Lord has a quest line that unlocks at a certain level and ends in a battle. The Prologue gives this achievement automatically, so you may already have it.
- Tear Down the Walls (Reliable). Raze one settlement. After you capture a settlement you can choose to occupy, sack or raze it, so choose raze.
- Burn the World (Reliable). Raze 30 settlements in a single campaign. Races built around razing help most: Khorne among the Warhammer III races, and Beastmen, Norsca and Warriors of Chaos among the older ones.
- Legendary Strategist (Check in game). Win a singleplayer campaign on Legendary campaign difficulty. Legendary allows autosaves only, and battle difficulty does not matter. Any Realm of Chaos win counts. In Immortal Empires, finish a Domination or end-game victory, because a Long Victory is reported not to be enough for this one. Watch out: No manual saves are allowed on Legendary, so a lost fight cannot be reloaded.
Economy and diplomacy
- A Steady Stream (Reliable). Reach a gross income of 5,000 per turn. Grow your settlements and build economy buildings and this arrives in the early to middle part of a campaign.
- Well-Heeled (Reliable). Reach a gross income of 20,000 per turn. This comes in the middle to late game once you hold many developed provinces and trade routes.
- Your Coffers Overfloweth (Reliable). Reach a gross income of 60,000 per turn. Factions with strong economies make this easier: Kislev among the Warhammer III races, and the Dark Elves and High Elves among the older ones. Late in the campaign, disbanding armies can help.
- Commercial Comforts (Reliable). Have a trade agreement with 5 other factions at the same time. Choose partners carefully and make deals early, because trade needs routes to them. Heroes can scout the map for partners.
- Trading Nation (Reliable). Have a trade agreement with 10 other factions at the same time. Races with sea access or many neighbours find partners most easily. In Immortal Empires the High Elves, the Empire, the Ogres and Cathay are named as solid picks.
- Common Cause (Reliable). Have a military alliance with 5 other factions at the same time. Order factions find it easier, as they tend to like each other. Gifting a settlement in a province an ally already invests in is a strong way to make them agree.
- League of Nations (Reliable). Have a military alliance with 10 other factions at the same time. This is probably the hardest diplomatic achievement. Play an order faction, keep the Old World neighbours (the Empire, Kislev, Bretonnia) alive early so you can bring them in, and decline pacts with disliked factions. Targeting a generally hated enemy, such as a Norscan or Chaos faction, also raises relations with many others.
- Arms Appropriated (Reliable). Borrow an army from a military ally. With a military alliance in place, you can ask the ally to lend you an army for a decent number of allegiance points.
- Forward Position (Reliable). Construct an allied outpost in a military ally's settlement. Once you have a military alliance, you can build an outpost in one of their provincial capitals for gold, unless one of their other allies has already done that there.
Multiplayer
- Animated Adversary (Unconfirmed). Play a multiplayer battle. Finishing one is enough, and you can host a custom battle with an AI player in the other slot if you do not want to face a person.
- Partners in Conquest (Unconfirmed). Play a multiplayer campaign. You only have to launch one, not finish it. Start a campaign from the multiplayer menu and let it load.
Realm of Chaos rifts and god realms
- Into the Aethyr (Reliable). Enter the Realm of Chaos through a Rift. Rifts open on the campaign map as the campaign goes on. Move an army onto one and pick any of the four god realms.
- The Gatekeeper (Unconfirmed). Defeat the Daemon Prince at the Brass Citadel in the realm of Khorne. Enter Khorne's realm through a Rift and win the final battle there. Reports say this battle can be auto-resolved, but a Very Hard or Legendary campaign may need a strong army.
- The Gardener (Unconfirmed). Defeat the Daemon Prince at the Mansion of the Plaguelord in the realm of Nurgle. Enter Nurgle's realm through a Rift and win the final battle there.
- The Courtesan (Unconfirmed). Defeat the Daemon Prince at the Palace of Slaanesh in the realm of Slaanesh. Enter Slaanesh's realm through a Rift and win the final battle there.
- The Librarian (Unconfirmed). Defeat the Daemon Prince at the Impossible Fortress in the realm of Tzeentch. Enter Tzeentch's realm through a Rift and win the final battle there.
Trials of Fate
- Black Fire Schemer (Reliable). Score 15,000 in the Black Fire Pass trial. This is the bronze medal. You face a horde of Greenskins here, including Grimgor Ironhide. In the Mirror of Madness mode you lead a fixed Tzeentch army against waves that grow stronger until your units are all dead or routed. Holding the capture point (the Shard) gives Forbidden Knowledge to upgrade your army abilities. Score comes from damage and kills. Medals: bronze 15,000, silver 30,000, gold 50,000, platinum 100,000.
- Black Fire Mastermind (Reliable). Score 50,000 in the Black Fire Pass trial (gold medal). Use your abilities often so they are on cooldown only briefly, hold the Shard to keep upgrading them, and keep your ranged units firing sparingly because ammunition does not refill.
- Hel Fenn Schemer (Reliable). Score 15,000 in the Hel Fenn trial. You fight zombies and skeletons here, led by Heinrich Kemmler. Rush Kemmler at the start with your Lord and your flying cavalry, because killing the enemy Lord weakens every unit afterward.
- Hel Fenn Mastermind (Reliable). Score 50,000 in the Hel Fenn trial (gold medal). Keep your abilities cycling and use cavalry to handle the flyers. Magical attacks are the answer to Cairn Wraiths.
- Fallen Schemer (Reliable). Score 15,000 in the Fallen Gates trial. The enemy is Lizardmen, and poison javelins and Terradon Riders make it harder than the others. Defend the Shards at first until your top ability is fully upgraded, then back your army into a corner so the flyers cannot flank you.
- Fallen Mastermind (Reliable). Score 50,000 in the Fallen Gates trial (gold medal). Stay in the corner, save your ranged ammunition for Terradons and Ripperdactyls, and use army abilities on the dense ground hordes.
- Dark Schemer (Unconfirmed). Score 15,000 in the Altar of Ultimate Darkness trial (bronze medal). Use the same approach as in the other trials: hold the Shard, keep abilities cycling, and shoot sparingly.
- Dark Mastermind (Unconfirmed). Score 50,000 in the Altar of Ultimate Darkness trial (gold medal). Treat it like the earlier trials: upgrade abilities, kill the enemy Lord when you can, and stay on the Shard when it is safe.
- Tzeentchian Schemer (Unconfirmed). Score 15,000 in the Realm of Tzeentch trial. This is the last trial: the fight at the end is the showdown with Kairos Fateweaver. Bring all the lessons from the earlier ones.
- Tzeentchian Mastermind (Unconfirmed). Score 50,000 in the Realm of Tzeentch trial (gold medal). Cycle your abilities, upgrade them, keep ranged ammunition for dangerous targets, and kill the enemy Lord when you can.
- Ultimate Mastermind (Reliable). Reach a score of 100,000 in every Trial of Fate, which is the platinum medal in all five. Use the barriers so units retreat and refill, spam every army ability on its own cooldown, and use the top ability, Inevitable Fate, on your flying Lord while you move around quickly. Defending the Shard is not required: a 75,000 score has been reached without any upgrades. Corner-camping is a good fallback.
Kislev
- Northern Nicator (Reliable). Win a singleplayer campaign as Kislev. The description sets no difficulty. A Realm of Chaos win counts. In Immortal Empires, finish a Long Victory, a Domination victory or an end-game victory; a Short Victory does not count.
- Oblast Overlord (Reliable). Win a singleplayer campaign as Kislev on Very Hard or Legendary campaign difficulty. Battle difficulty does not matter, only the campaign difficulty. A Realm of Chaos win counts. In Immortal Empires, finish a Long Victory, a Domination victory or an end-game victory; a Short Victory does not count. Tzarina Katarin is a recommended lord for this.
- Reclaim Your Place (Check in game). Occupy Kislev, Erengrad and Praag as Kislev. Erengrad is on the western coast, and Kislev and Praag are in neighbouring provinces near the centre of the land. They have no other settlements in their provinces. Occupy is required: sacking or razing does not count.
- The Battle for Bokha (Check in game). Win the quest battle that frees Boris Ursus. As Tzarina Katarin (the Ice Court) or Kostaltyn (the Great Orthodoxy), hold Kislev, Erengrad and Praag yourself for 10 turns. The quest battle The Frozen Falls then appears. Three Tzeentch sorcerers stand in different corners of the map, and strong reinforcements spawn behind you as you reach each one. Kill all three. A tracker comment mentions a 30 minute limit. Watch out: If you control the cities through an ally, or you play another faction, the quest never appears.
- Matriarchal Power (Check in game). Invoke each type of Motherland in a single campaign. There are four invocations, and each costs devotion. A reported fix: if invoking all four does not unlock it, raise Ice Court Support to level 20 instead. Watch out: This is a known problem that was still open in mid-2026, so allow extra time.
- Bear With Me (Reliable). Recruit an Elemental Bear into one of your armies. You can recruit it from the top-tier animal den, the Grand Ur-Szalas, so build that up first.
Grand Cathay
- Eastern Emperor (Reliable). Win a singleplayer campaign as Grand Cathay. The description sets no difficulty. A Realm of Chaos win counts. In Immortal Empires, finish a Long Victory, a Domination victory or an end-game victory; a Short Victory does not count.
- Dragon Emperor (Reliable). Win a singleplayer campaign as Grand Cathay on Very Hard or Legendary campaign difficulty. Battle difficulty does not matter, only the campaign difficulty. A Realm of Chaos win counts. In Immortal Empires, finish a Long Victory, a Domination victory or an end-game victory; a Short Victory does not count.
- The Road to Riches (Unconfirmed). Complete a Caravan's journey as Cathay. Send a caravan out and let it finish its route without being destroyed. Events can happen on the way.
- Man the Wall (Reliable). Occupy the entire Great Bastion, which means taking the Snake, Dragon and Turtle gates. Take all three gates yourself and keep them.
- Celestial City Secured (Unconfirmed). Occupy Wei-Jin, which sits at the northern edge of Cathay.
- Heavens Above (Unconfirmed). Construct the Grand Observatory of Xing Po. Take Xing Po in the Forests of the Moon in eastern Cathay, then build the Grand Observatory from its building panel. The building needs the right tier and a free slot.
- Shoulders of Giants (Unconfirmed). Recruit a Terracotta Sentinel into one of your armies. Build a top-tier military building in a developed province, then recruit the Sentinel from it.
Khorne
- Blood God (Reliable). Win a singleplayer campaign as Khorne. The description sets no difficulty. A Realm of Chaos win counts. In Immortal Empires, finish a Long Victory, a Domination victory or an end-game victory; a Short Victory does not count.
- Blood-Soaked Victor (Reliable). Win a singleplayer campaign as Khorne on Very Hard or Legendary campaign difficulty. Battle difficulty does not matter, only the campaign difficulty. A Realm of Chaos win counts. In Immortal Empires, finish a Long Victory, a Domination victory or an end-game victory; a Short Victory does not count.
- The Collector (Unconfirmed). Collect 10,000 Skulls as Khorne. Skulls are Khorne's own resource, and a campaign full of battles builds them up.
- The Blood is the Life (Unconfirmed). Recruit a Bloodthirster into one of your armies. You can recruit one from a higher-tier military building.
- Intravenous Injection (Unconfirmed). Replace a Herald of Khorne with an Exalted Bloodthirster. A Herald of Khorne can get a dilemma at rank 15 that offers this, so level your Herald to 15 and watch for it.
- The Blood Must Flow (Unconfirmed). Raise an army's Bloodletting to its highest level. It builds as that army fights, so keep one army active.
- Unmaker of Magick (Unconfirmed). Construct the Khadeium Paradox. It is built in the Red Fortress city in the Red Wastes province, west of the Turtle Gate, beyond the western border of Grand Cathay.
Nurgle
- Lord of Decay (Reliable). Win a singleplayer campaign as Nurgle. The description sets no difficulty. A Realm of Chaos win counts. In Immortal Empires, finish a Long Victory, a Domination victory or an end-game victory; a Short Victory does not count.
- Decrepit Defeater (Reliable). Win a singleplayer campaign as Nurgle on Very Hard or Legendary campaign difficulty. Battle difficulty does not matter, only the campaign difficulty. A Realm of Chaos win counts. In Immortal Empires, finish a Long Victory, a Domination victory or an end-game victory; a Short Victory does not count.
- Angel of Disease (Unconfirmed). Spread a plague. Next to the end-turn button there is a plague button, and you need at least 200 Infections to spread one.
- Elements of Decay (Check in game). Use each Plague Symptom at least once. Make plagues in the Plague Cauldron and chain into the symptoms you have not used. Skip a turn after the last symptom if it does not unlock. Watch out: A 2024 report says this did not unlock after every symptom was used, so treat it as uncertain.
- Ailment Accumulator (Unconfirmed). Collect 5000 Infections. Nurgle factions get infections from battles, some buildings and a few other sources, so it comes on its own in the later stages.
- The Fly Master Cometh (Unconfirmed). Recruit a Great Unclean One into one of your armies. It needs a building in the major settlement of a province, and Nurgle military buildings grow by themselves once the settlement level is high enough.
- Pustulent Promotion (Unconfirmed). Replace a Herald of Nurgle with an Exalted Great Unclean One. A Herald of Nurgle can get a dilemma at rank 15 that offers this, so level your Herald to 15 and watch for it.
Tzeentch
- Changer of Ways (Reliable). Win a singleplayer campaign as Tzeentch. The description sets no difficulty. A Realm of Chaos win counts. In Immortal Empires, finish a Long Victory, a Domination victory or an end-game victory; a Short Victory does not count.

A Realm of Chaos win counts. In Immortal Empires, finish a Long Victory, a Domination victory or an end-game victory; a Short Victory does not count.
- Municipal Manipulator (Unconfirmed). Take control of a settlement with the Changing of the Ways. The target must belong to a faction you are not at war with, and it cannot be that faction's only settlement.
- Face the Strange (Unconfirmed). Unlock all the Changing of the Ways actions, which are Tzeentch's own campaign abilities. Keep playing and unlocking them until none are left.
- Revelry in Riddles (Unconfirmed). Construct the Symposium of Change. It is built in the settlement The Crystal Spires, in the Plain of Bone province at the central north edge of the map.
- Terror Transmogrified (Unconfirmed). Recruit a Lord of Change into one of your armies. You recruit it from a Cult of Change building, which is a top-tier secret society in the advanced military buildings.
- Change Up (Unconfirmed). Replace a Herald of Tzeentch with an Exalted Lord of Change. A Herald of Tzeentch can get a dilemma at rank 15 that offers this, so level your Herald to 15 and watch for it.
