Terms of use
Last updated 3 October 2026.
These terms are between you and FinalUnlock. By using the site or making an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
1. What the site is
FinalUnlock is an independent, unofficial fan project that publishes checklists of collectibles and achievements for video games, and lets you tick items off. It is not affiliated with, authorised, sponsored or endorsed by the developers, publishers or platform holders of any game it covers, including those named in the footer. Game and company names, and the trademarks listed in the footer, belong to their owners and are used only to say which game a guide is about (nominative use). The site does not use game logos, key art or screenshots, and does not use the Steam or Xbox logos.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old. You must give a real email address and keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
3. Accounts
- One person, one account. You can log out or delete your account at any time from the Account page; deletion is permanent.
- There is no password-reset email at present, so a lost password may mean a lost account.
- We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or are used to attack the site.
4. Plans and limits
- Free: read every guide, tick items on your own device without limit, and sync up to 70 ticked items across all games to your account. The limit is a setting and can change; changes will not delete items you already saved.
- Paid: unlimited synced items and no ads. The paid plan is not on sale yet. Its price and terms will be shown before anyone can buy it.
5. Refunds
No payment is taken today, so there is nothing to refund. Refund terms will be added here before any real payment is taken.
6. Accuracy of the guides
The guides are not based on our own play. Locations can be wrong, incomplete, vague or out of date, games get patched, and some items are uncertain or unconfirmed; the site labels these. See About for how the labels work. The guides are information only. Use the game's own journal, map and achievement screens as the final check. We do not promise that following a guide will unlock any achievement or collectible, or that you will not miss something that cannot be revisited.
7. Content and intellectual property
- The descriptions, notes and layout of the guides are ours (or licensed to us) and written in our own words. You may read and use them for your own personal, non-commercial play. You may not copy the guides in bulk, republish them, or scrape the site to build a competing service without permission.
- If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright or other rights, tell us at and we will review it and remove it where needed.
- Game titles, names, characters and logos are trademarks or copyrights of their owners. Nothing here grants you any right in them.
- If you send us a correction, you allow us to use it to improve the guides, without credit or payment unless we agreed otherwise.
8. Acceptable use
Do not attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the site; do not try to get around the free-plan limit, rate limits or security measures; do not use bots to create accounts; do not use the site for anything unlawful.
9. Third-party sites and ads
Links go to websites we do not control and are not responsible for. Advertising slots currently show placeholders only. If ads are added later they will be explained in the privacy policy, with a consent choice where the law requires it.
10. Availability and changes
The site is provided as it is and may be changed, interrupted or closed at any time. We try to give notice before closing the site and the Account page lets you export your data first. We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept it.
11. No warranty, limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, the site and guides are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost progress, missed collectibles or achievements, or loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, and it does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
12. Privacy
How we handle your data is described in the privacy policy.
