Midgard

Wildwoods

  1. Lost and Found artifact 1. Leaving the house at the start, look just right of the path to the yard gate that you pass through to go hunting. The toy glows on the ground there.
  2. Lost and Found artifact 2. While tracking the deer with Atreus, stop at the stone steps that lead up to a bridge and look to the left of them before crossing.
  3. Lost and Found artifact 3. At the ruins fork past your first Draugr fight (where the first Nornir chest is), go right along the frozen river and slide down the chain to the ice. Kill the two wolves at the bottom, then check the corner on the left.
  4. Lost and Found artifact 4. Inside the temple, go down to the room with the gate you open with the chain. Turn around and use the door on the opposite side to reach a frozen pond with two wolves and a Draugr. The artifact is on the right, across from the large chest.
  5. Jötnar Shrine — Sköll and Hati. After you raise the temple gate with the chain and freeze it with the axe, step outside and turn sharply left to a yellow chain. Climb back into the building, take the stairs straight ahead, smash the wooden barricade and have Atreus open the cabinet at the end of the corridor.
  6. Odin’s Raven — Wildwoods Hidden Chamber. Return to the house and go through the backyard and garden; burn away the Hel-bramble to climb up and work back to the sealed door past the place you fought your first Troll. Open it with the chisel, ride the lift down and look above the tree branches over the back arena (there is a Realm Tear there).

The River Pass and Witch’s Cave

  1. Odin’s Raven — Marketplace ridge. After dropping from the bridge into the marketplace ruins, clear the Draugr, including the fire-throwers that appear on the cliff behind you. The raven sits on the ridge just above where they stood. You walk past the same spot again after escaping the Reaver ambush.
  2. Odin’s Raven — Sand-bowl tunnel. Solve the sand bowl puzzle that opens the big round door and walk most of the way through the tunnel. Just before it opens into the Troll arena, a bright rubble slope climbs up to the surface; the raven hops on its top edge. Aim a little above it.
  3. Odin’s Raven — Troll arena ribcage. During or after the Brenna Daudi Troll fight, study the giant ribcage: the raven perches on one of the middle ribs. Standing next to the Nornir chest and looking back across the arena gives the clearest view.
  4. Odin’s Raven — Burned village roof. Past the Troll arena you reach a ledge above a burned village of huts. Look at the hut on your right: the raven is pecking at a body on the side of its roof.
  5. Odin’s Raven — Witch’s yard ledge. With Shock Arrows, blow up the red sap wall beside the lift in the Witch’s Cave and climb the well up to her front yard. Climb the yellow chain on the left in front of the giant turtle, follow the ledge path and look up to the left at the high rocks.
  6. Odin’s Raven — Kara’s Hidden Chamber. Take the lift down inside the Witch’s Cave Hidden Chamber (route under the Kara entry below). As you enter the Valkyrie arena, look right: the raven sits in an alcove high in the arches.
  7. Faces of Magic artifact 1. After escaping the Reaver ambush near the first Mystic Gateway, cross the ledge and climb down the chain by the ruins exit. Follow the ledge you land on, which looks over the marketplace, to a dead soldier holding the mask.
  8. Faces of Magic artifact 2. From Brok’s first shop beside the marketplace ruins, head right past the trees you threw your axe at and drop to the small lower platform. The mask is with the dead soldier there.
  9. Faces of Magic artifact 3. Cross the spiked-ceiling puzzle room past Brok’s shop. On the far side, climb up near the cave exit: a dead soldier holds the mask on the main path.
  10. Faces of Magic artifact 4. Right after the spiked room you reach a wide plateau before the first sand bowl. Follow its edge to the far side to find a dead soldier with the mask.
  11. Faces of Magic artifact 5. Open the round door with the sand bowl and enter the tunnel. Where the path bends right, take the first left instead and climb the ledge to a small pool with the mask.
  12. Faces of Magic artifact 6. After the Troll, go through the tunnel into the burned village and drop down. Beside the second house with Hacksilver inside, smash the small broken hut; the soldier with the mask lies behind it (the fourth house on your right).
  13. Faces of Magic artifact 7. On your first visit, leaving the Witch’s home through the cave: walk down the bridge from her doorway, bear left to the lower path and push the pallet of stones all the way into the river. Jump onto it and across to the platform with the dead soldier.
  14. Faces of Magic artifact 8. With Light and Shock Arrows, break the red sap wall in the Witch’s Cave and climb the well up to her yard. Walking down the ramp toward the house, look right for a dead soldier holding the mask.
  15. Faces of Magic artifact 9. In the Witch’s front yard, climb the chain on the left next to the lore marker by the turtle. On the short ledge path with the sealed Nornir chest, the last mask lies in the grass to the left. It is very easy to walk past.
  16. Jötnar Shrine — Hrungnir. Go through the marketplace ruins to the area where you fought your first Revenant and climb to the level above it, where a path leads right to the first Nornir chest. Go left instead, along the hallway overlooking the Revenant area; the shrine is at its end.
  17. Valkyrie Kara. In the Witch’s Cave, head for the light bridges underneath the ramp to her home. Take Shatter Crystal from the nearby branch, throw it at the raised red sap wall and have Atreus detonate it with a Shock Arrow. Climb up to the ice-sealed door, open it with the chisel and ride the lift down to Kara’s arena.
  18. Treasure — The Turtle’s Tribute. Map: on the Witch’s Cave lower level beside the Nornir chest, take the Shatter Crystal under the small waterfall, throw it at the red sap left of the chest and shoot it. The scroll is in the room above, in front of the Hidden Chamber door. Dig: blow the sap left of the lift on the upper level, climb the well and walk the stone path to the turtle’s front left foot. Dig at the small mossy stone by two large stones with a log between them.

Shores of Nine and Tyr’s Temple

  1. Odin’s Raven — Niflheim Tower shipwreck. Ride the lift to the top of the Niflheim Tower. Look past the Mystic Gateway and to the right, down at the wrecked ship to the south: the raven sits at the far end of its broken bow.
  2. Abandon Ship artifact — Tyr’s Bridge dock. Moor at Tyr’s Bridge’s eastern dock, the one opposite where you first entered the lake. Walk up the steps from the dock; the figurehead is with a body beside them.
  3. Abandon Ship artifact — Niflheim Tower. Take the lift up the Niflheim Tower. On your right, behind some crates and just left of the Mystic Gateway, a corpse lies with the figurehead.
  4. Abandon Ship artifact — Helheim Tower. Dock on the east side of the Helheim Tower and ride up. Beat the Hel-walkers at the top; the artifact is by a corpse leaning on the huge doors next to the lift, on your right.
  5. Abandon Ship artifact — Alfheim Tower. Ride the lift up the Alfheim Tower in the north-east of the lake and cross the top. A body by the giant door, on your left, holds the figurehead. A Realm Tear here spawns level-four Draugr, so leave it if you are not ready.
  6. Jötnar Shrine — Jörmungandr. Walk from Tyr’s Temple over to the Vanaheim Tower. Go inside and immediately climb left over the debris into a small room with the shrine.
  7. Jötnar Shrine — Bergelmir. Late in the story you open the hidden chamber beneath Tyr’s Temple (not Tyr’s Vault with the Black Rune). In the room with two troll statues, take the lift down below the temple; turn around as you step off and the shrine is behind you.

The Foothills

  1. Odin’s Raven — Above the overgrown Skymover. Climbing the snowy trail toward the Mountain base, look left at Sindri’s vine-covered Skymover lift. The raven hops on the rocks above it; throw high. You can also take it when you return to the Skymover after the Black Breath turns you back.
  2. Odin’s Raven — Geirdriful’s chamber. Follow the main path up toward the Mountain and enter the cave with the ice-sealed door (route under the Geirdriful entry). Before you leap the gap into the arena, face back and look high: the raven is on a beam above the stairs over the Mystic Gateway.
  3. Valkyrie Geirdriful. From Sindri’s camp, climb the cliff and pass the cursed smoke totems. Where a tunnel on the left leads to the Mountain, take the tunnel to its right instead to an ice-sealed door. Open it with the chisel and ride down to the arena.
  4. Treasure — Don’t Blink. Map: in Fafnir’s Storeroom, next to the body resting against the central pillar of the main chamber (Fafnir’s Hoard favor). Dig: at the top of the Foothills just before you enter the Mountain, jump the gap, climb the wall on the left and walk a few steps left to the cliff edge under the nose of the giant carved face.

The Mountain

  1. Bottoms Up artifact 1. After the entrance riddle opens the door on the right, climb the ledge and follow the main path to the cavern with a Nornir chest. Light the crystal torch on the right path, smash the wooden door and the table behind it; a body hiding behind the table holds the cup. You reach it before returning to the throne room.
  2. Bottoms Up artifact 2. In the side room off the Heart of the Mountain where you find the mine cart, push the cart a little. Where it stood, a spiked door unblocks; knock it in with the axe and take the cup from the body inside.
  3. Bottoms Up artifact 3. After the dragon fight and talking to Sindri, you re-enter the Mountain and climb to a large platform with a pulley basket covered in Shatter Crystal. Move the basket and blow the sap; the body with the cup is in the alcove behind it.
  4. Bottoms Up artifact 4. Running along the snowy ridge below the summit, Hel-bramble blocks the short way up. Go left instead and follow the path around to a body behind a large rock.
  5. Bottoms Up artifact 5. On your return in Return to the Summit, bypass the throne room via the left-hand route. In the Heart of the Mountain lift room, a coffin and the cup are behind red sap under a platform on your left, beside the cart tracks. Shatter the crystal stuck in the sap to clear it.
  6. Bottoms Up artifact 6. Also on the return trip: take the new lift up and keep going past the area with a Stone Ancient, through the far door into a library. The cup lies beside a body holding a lore scroll.
  7. Odin’s Raven — Under the Revenant bridge. Past the right-hand riddle door you cross a long bridge where a Revenant attacks. Run to the far side, go under the bridge above, then look back down through the hole on the bridge’s left side: the raven hops on a wooden plank below.
  8. Odin’s Raven — Chasm by Brok’s shop. Trying the wheel in the Heart of the Mountain summons Draugr and opens a tunnel to Brok’s shop. Right of the shop is a cliff over a chasm; the raven circles above it.
  9. Odin’s Raven — Mine-cart room alcove. In the side room with the mine cart and a large dead pack animal, go past the carcass and look right of a large door for a small caved-in alcove with a crystal torch high up. Light it, then look into the alcove opposite and above you.
  10. Odin’s Raven — Eir’s chamber. Open the Hidden Chamber in the central lift room (route under the Eir entry) and ride down. Turn left as you enter the Valkyrie arena; the raven perches on the wall edge above you.
  11. Jötnar Shrine — Ymir. On the climb after you have Shock Arrows, you reach a red sap wall shortly before a group of Reavers praying at a Nornir chest. Take the Shatter Crystal to the right of them back to the sap, throw it and detonate it; the shrine is in the small room behind.
  12. Valkyrie Eir. In the Heart of the Mountain, the ice-sealed door sits behind the big wrecked mine cart that has a lore marker on its rear. Open it with the chisel and take the lift down to Eir.

Lookout Tower

  1. Odin’s Raven — Circling the Lookout cliffs. From the Lookout Tower dock, look high to the west-north-west toward the Thor statue: the raven circles there. Climb as high as you can (higher ledges open once the lake is lowered) and keep moving until you find an angle. The Temple of Tyr bridge near the Vanaheim Tower is another angle.
  2. Abandon Ship artifact — Lookout Tower. The first dock right of the tunnel from the Witch’s Cave. Hit the spinning panel set high above the Nornir chest to pull back the floor spikes; the figurehead lies by a body just right of that chest.
  3. Jötnar Shrine — Thrym. At Lookout Tower, climb the ledges, hitting the spinning mechanisms to clear the spikes. From the top ledge, keep climbing to the right to a zipline that drops you behind the Muspelheim Tower. A Revenant guards the shrine at the bottom.
  4. Treasure — Kneel Before Thor!. Map: in the Landsuther Mines (Brok’s favor Deus Ex Malachite), break the floor near the start, go left on the lower level to a lift and ride it to a hidden room with a red chest; the scroll is beside it. Dig: take the Lookout Tower climb and zipline described for Thrym’s shrine; the spot is just right of the shrine between two sets of rocks.

Cliffs of the Raven

  1. Odin’s Raven — Across from the cipher chest. Go to the back of the area with the giant’s corpse and brazier. Smash the wooden panel on the wall to the left, boost Atreus through and climb the chain he drops. Standing right of the silver cipher chest up there, look across the gap at the rocks.
  2. Abandon Ship artifact — Cliffs of the Raven. Use the same route as the raven: smash the planks left of the dead giant, boost Atreus up and climb his chain. Run past the chests on the ledge to a body holding the figurehead.
  3. Treasure — Dead and Bloated. Map: deep in the Volunder Mines on Brok’s favor Second Hand Soul, in the room leading to the Soul Eater. After meeting the Soul Eater, hug the right wall, climb down the chain and find the scroll by a big wooden wheel and a red chest. Dig: at the back of the Cliffs of the Raven, between the arm and the leg of the rotting giant by its belly.

Volunder Mines

  1. Odin’s Raven — Over the Volunder dock. Dock at the Volunder Mines (you can do this before the favor). Look up, or walk up to the Mystic Gateway platform, and lead your throw well ahead of the circling raven.

Buri’s Storeroom

  1. Odin’s Raven — Buri’s rock pillar. After the lake drops the second time, land on Buri’s Storeroom and go to the back (north-east) side. Face north toward Stone Falls: the raven circles a stone pillar by a waterfall. It is a long throw; the clifftop at the top of Stone Falls is another angle.
  2. Treasure — Creation Island. Map: on the small beach at Iron Cove, in plain view after the second lake drop. Dig: on Buri’s Storeroom, go through the gate on the left to the back of the island. Before the water wheel, step onto the patch of sand on the left, facing the golden sea-gate to Veithurgard.

Stone Falls

  1. Odin’s Raven — Above the waterfall. From the Mystic Gateway, cross the wooden bridge to the gate wheel and the spirit. Turn back to face the waterfall and look up at the clifftop above it; aim a little high.
  2. Abandon Ship artifact — Stone Falls. Go through the gate into the arena (a Revenant and Tatzelwurms attack) and clear it. On the right side, by the closed gate, climb onto the small ledge with a coffin and several bodies; one holds the figurehead.

Veithurgard

  1. Odin’s Raven — Thor statue. Row left across the main Veithurgard lake to the statue of Thor and beach at its front. Defeat the heavy Draugr, climb the path on the left and look up at the raven circling the statue.
  2. Odin’s Raven — Behind Otr’s planks. At the altar holding the dragon Otr, three square openings are boarded with wood. Throw the axe through the planks; a raven hides behind one of them.
  3. Odin’s Raven — Beside the keep doors. Go to the large rune-locked door of the keep. To its left, behind a pile of rubble near a lore marker, is the raven.
  4. Horns of Veithurgard artifact 1. From the dock, go right and pull the chain to open the gate around the corner. Climb the path to the clifftop past a Realm Tear, then drop to the lower platform and smash the wooden wall on the right cliff.
  5. Horns of Veithurgard artifact 2. Where you land on the main Veithurgard beach, clear the Draugr and jump along the long dock where a ranged Draugr stood. The horn is at its far end.
  6. Horns of Veithurgard artifact 3. From Otr’s altar, go left along the back wall to a small waterfall. The soldier with the horn lies by its base, behind some crates.
  7. Horns of Veithurgard artifact 4. Left of the dragon a bridge leads to the keep. Take the long way around to its left and blow open the rocks with a fire pot; the body with the horn is on the broken bridge in front of the keep doors.
  8. Horns of Veithurgard artifact 5. Open the keep door by fixing the rune puzzle (two missing runes lie in the debris). Inside, pass Skadi’s shrine and take the hallway on the left to a dead soldier.
  9. Horns of Veithurgard artifact 6. Deeper in the keep you reach a ledge over a flooded room. Use the nearby switch to drain the water and go down to the bottom of the channel for the last horn.
  10. Jötnar Shrine — Skadi. Past the dragon, fix the rune door of the keep with the runes stashed nearby. The shrine is in the first chamber as you walk in, to the right of the stairs.
  11. Dragon — Otr (Otr’s Imprisonment). Destroy the three dragon shrines around Otr’s altar, then return to the anchor stone at the dragon and have Atreus break the seal. One shrine is up the hill path on the left of the altar; the last is inside the keep, reached through the rune door and a passage behind a fire-pot rock pile. Take cover from the dragon’s beam on the stairs.
  12. Treasure — Hunter’s Kingdom. Map: at Lookout Tower, clear the two spike gates with the mechanisms, climb the next wall, go left and drop down; the scroll is in the middle of the area by the Nornir chest. Dig: in Veithurgard, at the large rune-sealed keep door in the back-left corner, stand at the lore marker on its left. The spot is just right of the marker.

Council of Valkyries and The Mason’s Channel

  1. Odin’s Raven — Oarsman figurehead. The raven sits on the figurehead of the right-hand oarsman statue’s boat. A clear throw is possible from the Council of Valkyries bridge or from the beach north-west of the Alfheim Tower.
  2. Dragon — Fafnir (The Flight of Fafnir). Climb from the Mason’s Channel beach to the gate at the top and go through to the chained dragon. Destroy the three dragon shrines nearby: one is close to the anchor on the left, one is up the cliffs (a Traveler can guard it) and one is in or past a cave with a gate. Return to the anchor and free Fafnir.
  3. Valkyrie Queen Sigrun. After defeating the other eight Valkyries, dock on the left beach under the two oarsmen, climb the wall on the right, pass Sindri’s shop and cross the bridge to the Council. Place a helm on each of the eight red-lined thrones to open a Realm Tear in the middle and start the fight.
  4. Treasure — Njörd’s Oarsmen. Map: in the Northri Stronghold (Sindri’s favor Family Business), in the open hall with the old ship. From the walkway at its front right, break the wall of the hull; the scroll is by a body inside. Dig: dock on the left (southern) side of the Mason’s Channel by the Mystic Gateway, climb the back wall and shimmy to Sindri’s shop. Climb the small wall opposite him, go right and follow the path to the cliff edge facing the two giant statues.
  5. Treasure — The Last Place They’d Look. Map: travel to the Mountain summit gateway and walk back down the old route. Halfway along, climb down on the left side of the path into a hidden passage with Sindri’s shop. Go through the double doors, turn right, pass the Ancient’s fight room and crawl through the gap; the scroll is on the floor. Dig: in the Council room with the eight thrones, on the left between the second and third throne.

Thamur’s Corpse

  1. Odin’s Raven — Over the battlement. As you land at Thamur’s Corpse, stand by the Mystic Gateway on the dock and look up to the left: the raven peeks over a stone battlement on the cliffs. Arc a long throw.
  2. Odin’s Raven — Gunnr’s chamber trees. Open the Hidden Chamber by the dock with the chisel and ride down. As you enter Gunnr’s arena, look up and right into the tree branches.
  3. Jötnar Shrine — Thamur. Return to the main dock at Thamur’s Corpse with the chisel and open the Hidden Chamber door to the left, near the giant’s hand. The shrine is on the left inside.
  4. Valkyrie Gunnr. The ice-sealed door is visible from the dock when you first arrive, but you only get the chisel at the end of this story visit. Come back, open the door and take the lift down. She is a good first Valkyrie.

Northri Stronghold

  1. Odin’s Raven — Across from Sindri. From Sindri’s shop inside the stronghold entrance, turn around and look across the boat dock: the raven perches on the wall in the rafters.
  2. Odin’s Raven — Sea-gate bars. After beating the Traveler by the Reavers’ ship, look past the bow toward the large sealed water gate letting light in. The raven is on the gate’s bars, a little to the right.
  3. Treasure — Finder’s Fee. Map: once the lake has dropped twice, dock at the Forgotten Caverns, go past the Mystic Gateway and the spirit, and turn left at the junction to a chest; the scroll is in front of it. Dig: in the Northri Stronghold room with the large gate and water wheels, go up the short stairs by the dock and climb the wall of the wooden tower. The spot is against the back wall at the top, by a corpse.

Forgotten Caverns

  1. Odin’s Raven — Nornir bell pole. Land on the beach and head left. The raven sits on top of the rune pole for the nearby Nornir chest. Early on you have to sail around part of the World Serpent to reach this beach.
  2. Odin’s Raven — King’s Hollow cliff. After the second lake drop, get back in the boat at the Forgotten Caverns and hug the coast to the left (east, then north) behind the Svartalfheim Tower to a cave, the way to King’s Hollow. Beach on the left and climb the wall; you pass the raven, and from the top you can look down at it.
  3. Abandon Ship artifact — Forgotten Caverns. Beach at the Forgotten Caverns and deal with the Draugr. Climb the chain at the right end of the beach and turn left to a corpse holding the figurehead.

Konunsgard

  1. Odin’s Raven — Behind the poison coffin. After meeting Sindri in Konunsgard, follow the trail to the left to a poison cloud and the thing spewing it. Clear the enemies, go back to the coffin there and look past it to the cliffs across the valley.
  2. Odin’s Raven — From the Hel-walker arch. From the keep, take the right path and fight an ogre and Hel-walkers by the standing stones. Pass beneath the rocks the Hel-walkers stood on, follow the small path right and climb to the middle platform on top of the arch. Look out to the south-east: the raven is next to a lump of rock on the right. Aim high.
  3. Odin’s Raven — Below Reginn. Stand at the altar holding the dragon Reginn and look across the valley: the raven is in a stone alcove on the cliff just below the dragon.
  4. Odin’s Raven — Chain bridge. From Reginn, go down the valley and bear left to a door opened by striking three Nornir bells in time (use the shock crystal). Continue to a wooden bridge hanging from a chain, cut its weak link to drop the bridge, then stop halfway across and look right.
  5. Odin’s Raven — Above the keep coffin. Inside the keep with the three keys, go right to Starkadr’s shrine, then turn left and follow the hall to its end. Hop the low barrier to a coffin; the raven hops in the light above it, hard to see against the daylight.
  6. Jötnar Shrine — Starkadr. Collect the three keys around the stronghold and open the keep door. Go straight in and take the first right to the shrine.
  7. Dragon — Reginn (The Fire of Reginn). Standing at the altar, go left and jump the fallen bridge; the first dragon shrine is in the area below on the right. Keep right along the cliffs to a dark cave with the second. The third is behind the rune door across from the first, opened by ringing the three bells. Return to the anchor and free Reginn.

Fafnir’s Storeroom

  1. Odin’s Raven — Crane tip. Row under the World Serpent’s head into Fafnir’s Ravine and beach at its end. Look right at the tip of the wooden crane.
  2. Odin’s Raven — Above Sindri’s shop. In the green open area with Sindri’s shop, face the shop and turn a little left; the raven circles overhead.
  3. Odin’s Raven — Branch by the waterfall. Crouch through the tunnel ahead of Sindri’s shop into the woods. As the area opens up, the raven is on a branch on the left near the waterfall, before the first ledge you climb.
  4. Odin’s Raven — Over the storeroom gate. Deeper in, clear the Draugr from the larger wooded area. At the back, the Nornir chest is on the right and the sealed main entrance on the left; the raven sits above that door.
  5. Odin’s Raven — Central chamber. Once inside, stand by the small central pedestal with four rooms around it and look up at the raven circling the main room.
  6. Treasure — The Historian. Map: on the small Ruins of the Ancient island in the north-west of the lake. Dock on the left shore, vault the fallen pillar and pick it up in the middle. Dig: in Fafnir’s Storeroom, in the open wooded area take the left stairs to the big gate; the spot is by the left fire brazier, close to the Nornir chest.

Isle of Death

  1. Odin’s Raven — Gap in the rocks. After the second lake drop, land on the new lower beach of the Isle of Death. Kill the two teleporting Revenants, then look left of the landing through the gap between two rocks for the raven in a small hole.
  2. Abandon Ship artifact — Isle of Death. Dock and climb the wall ahead. Turn left and throw the axe at the red fire pot behind the pile of gold-tinted rubble; the blast uncovers a corpse holding the figurehead.
  3. Treasure — The Boat Captain’s Key. Map: on the shore at Stone Falls. At the top of the falls by the spirit, hit the bridge with the axe so it drops and jump across to the scroll. Dig: on the Isle of Death, climb up to the summit, where the first shoreline was and go under the hollow hull of the broken ship.

Iron Cove

  1. Odin’s Raven — Spire over the cove. After the second lake drop, zipline from the Isle of Death to Iron Cove, climb the two platforms and get onto the highest shipwreck. Look west-north-west at the far-right rock spire and arc a long throw as the raven comes around toward you.

Landsuther Mines

  1. Odin’s Raven — Scaffold near Brok. On the way in, jump the gap and climb the ledge in the ravine before Brok’s shop. Turn around from the shop and look at the wooden scaffolding: the raven is on its planks.
  2. Odin’s Raven — Rock wall by the Dark Elf Lord. Late in Deus Ex Malachite, you fight a Dark Elf Lord on a wide wooden platform just before taking Andvari’s Hammer. Look past the pile of crates to the rock wall under the scaffold to the north-east.

Light Elf Outpost

  1. Treasure — Island of Light. Map: after the second lake drop, dock at the southern (left) beach of the Mason’s Channel beside the two oarsmen and pick it up on the sand a few steps away. Dig: at the Light Elf Outpost, make light bridges with Atreus’s arrows and work through the outpost. Past the Nornir chest, a locked gate on the outer edge hides the spot; circle round from the other side and take the chain down at the junction.

The other realms

Alfheim

  1. Odin’s Raven — Light Elf Shore statue. On the Lake of Light, go left (north-west) to the Light Elf Shore. From the dock, look left at the pedestal of a Light Elf statue; you can throw from the beach or from the balcony beside the large tree.
  2. Odin’s Raven — Olrun’s chamber. Open the Hidden Chamber on the Light Elf Shore and take the lift down. As you enter Olrun’s arena, turn left and look up at a small branch above the wall.
  3. Spoils of War artifact 1. Beach at the Light Elf Shore, turn right and follow the broken pier and stone path back toward the water, near the high ledge with a legendary chest. A dead Light Elf holds the artifact.
  4. Spoils of War artifact 2. Follow the shore right to the Light Elf Sanctuary. Work around past the puzzle doors and loop right, cutting the roots on the balcony and the root bridge. Before you drop back to the starting beach, break the roots below and the artifact is at your feet.
  5. Spoils of War artifact 3. After the fight with the Ancient, restore power to the bridges, then take the upper bridge on the far side from the exit to a dead end with Light Elf bodies; head left.
  6. Spoils of War artifact 4. After restoring the Light of Alfheim, take the lift back down into the dark Ringed Temple Trench. The artifact is in a cell right behind you; use the light to see inside.
  7. Spoils of War artifact 5. In the main trench, raise the light bridge on the left. In the next room knock down the hanging crystal, which releases Draugr from the cells, and check the cells for a Light Elf body.
  8. Spoils of War artifact 6. In the main trench on the way back to the sand-bowl lift, return to the tunnel you opened by lowering the platforms with the wheel. In the prison beyond, the doors now stand open; search the cells for a Light Elf body.
  9. Jötnar Shrine — Gróa. In the Ringed Temple Trench, activate the light bridge that leads up to the sealed blue temple entrance. Turn right at the end of the bridge; the shrine stands next to Sindri’s shop.
  10. Valkyrie Olrun. Take the boat from Sindri’s beach shop down the river to the Lake of Light and go left (north) to dock at the Light Elf Shore. A tunnel straight ahead ends at the Hidden Chamber door.

Helheim

  1. Odin’s Raven — Ring under the Serpent’s Horn. Walk the bridge from Tyr’s Temple to where the World Serpent’s horn would be. Above the Hel-bramble you cut, a raven watches from a small perch in a ring on the bridge.
  2. Odin’s Raven — Circling the chasm. Take the detour left of the locked door, climb down the tall pillar and drop into the Hel-walker arena. On its far side, look down off the cliff edge under the bridge: the raven circles in the chasm below.
  3. Odin’s Raven — Beyond the ice wall. To leave the same arena you burn away Hel-bramble and knock a pillar loose. While burning the bramble, look left past the ice wall below the tall bridge; climb the sunken platform for a clear throw.
  4. Odin’s Raven — Behind the first sap wall. Return with Atreus. On the bridge toward the Bridge of the Damned, climb the first overpass, turn right and have Atreus blow up the red sap wall. The raven is above the coffin behind it.
  5. Odin’s Raven — Rota’s passage. Climb the second overpass, go left and blow up the sap wall that leads to the Hidden Chamber. The raven is just behind the wall on your right.
  6. Odin’s Raven — Rota’s lift room. Ride the lift down in the same Hidden Chamber. When it stops, look ahead near the ceiling on the wall between this room and Rota’s arena (the balcony up the stairs gives a good angle).
  7. Family Heirloom artifact 1. As soon as you leave Tyr’s Temple onto the icy bridge, turn right; the brooch is in the snow in the corner.
  8. Family Heirloom artifact 2. On the detour left of the locked door, climb up and down the pillars to the floor below (you pass a chest held by Hel-bramble). At the bottom, look at the broken pillar behind you where the archers appeared; the brooch is caught in bramble near its top.
  9. Family Heirloom artifact 3. After you climb out of the Hel-walker arena through the small icy tunnel, look up as you pass under the overpass: the brooch is stuck in bramble on its underside.
  10. Family Heirloom artifact 4. Back with Atreus, climb the second overpass, go left and blow the sap wall. The brooch is on the ground on the right just past it.
  11. Family Heirloom artifact 5. Take the lift down in the same Hidden Chamber. Before entering Rota’s arena, climb the stairs to the balcony above the entrance; the brooch is behind the brazier on the left.
  12. Valkyrie Rota. After The Sickness, return with Atreus and climb the second overpass on the bridge. Head left and let Atreus blast the sap wall and follow the passage to the Hidden Chamber, then ride the lift down to her arena.

Muspelheim

  1. Jötnar Shrine — Surtr. With all four Muspelheim cipher pieces, travel to Muspelheim from the realm travel room and cross the bridge from Tyr’s Temple to Brok’s shop. The shrine is to the left of the shop, before the climb to the trials.
  2. Valkyrie Gondul. Climb from Brok’s shop up through the trial arenas, completing the Normal and Hard trial in each of the five lower arenas. Gondul waits in the sixth and highest arena.

Niflheim

  1. Valkyrie Hildr. From Sindri’s shop go to Area D, the arena between the shop and the Center Chamber (Entry Stone pedestal and Nornir chest). Facing the Center Chamber, go left through a trap hallway and a small sub-arena, then another trap hallway into Area A. From A go right through a trap hallway to a second sub-arena and take its left-hand trap hallway into Area X.

The Truth

Read all 11 Jötnar shrines, the wooden cabinets that Atreus opens and translates. Tip: Shrines are not counted by the map trackers. The Codex lists the ones you have read. Surtr needs Muspelheim and Bergelmir needs the late-story hidden chamber under Tyr’s Temple. Treasure Hunter

Use all 12 treasure maps to find and dig up every treasure. Pick up a map, then dig at the place it shows. Tip: Each checklist entry gives the map pickup first and then the dig spot. Several maps sit in favor areas or need the lake lowered twice. Full list (12 dig spots): Treasure — The Turtle’s Tribute, Treasure — Don’t Blink, Treasure — Kneel Before Thor!, Treasure — Dead and Bloated, Treasure — Creation Island, Treasure — Hunter’s Kingdom, Treasure — Njörd’s Oarsmen, Treasure — The Last Place They’d Look, Treasure — Finder’s Fee, Treasure — The Historian, Treasure — The Boat Captain’s Key, Treasure — Island of Light.

Beneath the Surface

Discover every region around the Lake of Nine.

  1. Visit each of these lake regions so its fog clears on the map: Buri’s Storeroom, Cliffs of the Raven, Council of Valkyries, Forgotten Caverns, Iron Cove, Isle of Death, Light Elf Outpost, Lookout Tower, Ruins of the Ancient, Stone Falls, The Mason’s Channel and Veithurgard.
  2. Buri’s Storeroom and parts of other islands only appear after the lake drops the second time, during the story.

Death Happened Here

Fully explore Veithurgard: every collectible in the region except the dragon.

  1. Open the golden gate with the chain at the top of Stone Falls and row in.
  2. Pick up the 6 artifacts and kill the 3 ravens in this checklist, and also take the region’s Mystic Gateway, shop, 6 lore markers, legendary chest and Nornir chest. The map tracker shows what remains.
  3. The Hammer Fall favor and freeing Otr are not needed.

Side content (7)

Dangerous Skies

Free the three chained dragons Otr, Reginn and Fafnir by destroying the three dragon shrines around each one. Tip: Each dragon is its own favor. When all three shrines in its area are broken, go back to the anchor and have Atreus break the seal.

Chooser of the Slain

Defeat the eight Valkyries, then place their helms on the thrones at the Council of Valkyries and defeat their Queen. Tip: Five are in Hidden Chambers that need the Magic Chisel; Gondul and Hildr need the cipher realms. The Queen is the hardest fight, and lowering the difficulty does not affect the achievement.

Like Oil and Water

Complete all five Brok and Sindri favors in Midgard: Second Hand Soul, Deus Ex Malachite, Fafnir’s Hoard, Family Business and Hail to the King.

  1. Talk to Brok or Sindri at any shop to take their next favor. After finishing one, talk to them again; some wait for more story progress.
  2. When both brothers have finished their two favors, they meet at Tyr’s Temple and give you Hail to the King.
  3. The Niflheim favors do not count.

Unfinished Business

Help every wayward spirit: Dead Freight, Hammer Fall, The Anatomy of Hope, Unfinished Business and Time Heals All.

  1. Dead Freight: talk to the spirit at the southern dock of the Forgotten Caverns and put his crew to rest at the marked spots.
  2. Hammer Fall: the spirit stands by the gate chain on top of Stone Falls, then topple the Thor statue in Veithurgard.
  3. The Anatomy of Hope: the spirit at the northern dock of The Mason’s Channel wants three marked bones.
  4. Unfinished Business: read any of the four lore markers (Iron Cove, Forgotten Caverns, Isle of Death or Cliffs of the Raven). Fight at each marker until its spirit appears.
  5. Time Heals All: pick up the lore scroll at the end of the Northri Stronghold, then talk to the spirit in Fafnir’s Storeroom.

Trilingual

Learn the Muspelheim and Niflheim languages by finding four cipher pieces for each in purple face-locked chests that Atreus opens. Tip: There are more than eight such chests. One inside the World Serpent’s belly near the end of the story cannot be revisited, but you do not need it.

Fire and Brimstone

Complete all the Trials of Muspelheim, finishing with the sixth trial.

  1. Beat the Normal and Hard version of trials 1-5 to move up, then defeat the Valkyrie Gondul at the top.
  2. Clear any three Impossible trials for three keys, which open the sixth trial.
  3. The sixth trial asks for 50 kills in under 8 minutes; the achievement unlocks when you beat it. You can lower the game difficulty for the trials.

Darkness and Fog

(Grind-heavy) Buy every treasure in the Center Chamber of Niflheim: five chests and three Realm Tears, 68,500 Mist Echoes in all.

  1. Unlock the Center Chamber through the Ivaldi’s Workshop favor.
  2. Earn Mist Echoes by opening chests in the maze; they pay more the more you open in one run. Sell resources found in Niflheim to Sindri there for more.
  3. The three Realm Tears also need one Anchor of Fog each, found in legendary chests in the maze.
  4. Leave the maze alive through Sindri’s shop. Dying throws away that run’s echoes.

Upgrades and gear (13)

Enchanted

Slot an Enchantment into a piece of armor. They start turning up around the Mountain and in Alfheim, in coffins and on tough enemies. Only upgraded or rare armor has a socket. Tip: Enchantments start turning up around the Mountain and Alfheim in coffins and from tough enemies. Upgraded or rare armor has the socket for one.

Nice Moves

Pick up a Runic Attack Gem. The first one is early in the River Pass, in a legendary chest to the right of a large stone after the first big fight. Tip: Early in the River Pass, past the first big fight, a legendary chest to the right of a large stone in the road holds the first Runic Attack.

Dwarven Ingenuity

Upgrade any piece of armor at a shop. Brok's first shop in the River Pass can do it once you have the Hacksilver and two Soft Svartalfheim Steel. Tip: Possible at Brok’s first shop in the River Pass once you have the Hacksilver and two Soft Svartalfheim Steel.

Best Dressed

Craft or buy an outfit for Atreus. Brok sells one in the River Pass if you have the Hacksilver, and another is sold later on the Shores of Nine. Tip: Buy one from Brok in the River Pass if you have the Hacksilver, or later on the Shores of Nine.

The Best Moves

Fully upgrade one Runic Attack. Slot it, open it in the weapon menu, and buy both upgrades with XP: about 1,000 for the first and 4,000 for the second. Tip: Slot the attack, then open it in the weapon menu and buy its two upgrades with XP: roughly 1,000 for the first and 4,000 for the second.

All Will Fall

Kill 1,000 enemies across the whole game. To finish the rest, choose the warm-up option in the Muspelheim trials and keep clearing its waves. Tip: To farm the rest, pick the warm-up option in the Muspelheim trials and keep fighting its waves.

Iðunn’s Orchard

(Incomplete) Raise your health to the maximum with nine Iðunn Apples from Nornir chests. Every three apples raise your health once. Incomplete: Which Nornir chests hold the nine Iðunn Apples is not listed here yet. Tip: Apples come from Nornir chests; every three raise your health once.

Quick Tempered

(Incomplete) Raise your rage to the maximum with nine Horns of Blood Mead from Nornir chests. Every three horns raise your rage once. Incomplete: Which Nornir chests hold the nine Horns of Blood Mead is not listed here yet. Tip: Horns come from Nornir chests; every three raise your rage once.

Worthy

Fully upgrade the Leviathan Axe. Each level needs a Frozen Flame, and the story gives you enough to reach level 5. The last flame is the Chilling Mists of Niflheim, bought in the Center Chamber and traded at a shop. Tip: Each level needs a Frozen Flame. The story gives you enough for level 5. The last one needs the Chilling Mists of Niflheim, bought in the Niflheim Center Chamber and traded at a shop.

Why Fight It?

Fully upgrade the Blades of Chaos. The story gives enough Chaos Flames to reach level 4. The fifth flame is the Raging Inferno of Muspelheim, dropped by the Valkyrie Gondul. Tip: The story gives enough Chaos Flames for level 4. The fifth needs the Raging Inferno of Muspelheim, dropped by the Valkyrie Gondul.

Path of the Zealot

Craft the full Traveler armor set. Travelers, the armored shield knights, drop the Armour Shards and Grisly Trophies, including in The Magic Chisel and Escape from Helheim. Missed drops wait in a shop's Lost Items. Tip: Travelers (armored shield knights) drop 8 Armour Shards and 30 Grisly Trophies over about four or five kills. Story fights in The Magic Chisel and Escape from Helheim give some; missed drops wait in a shop’s Lost Items.

Primordial

Craft the full Ancient armor set. Ancients, the stone giants, drop Ancient's Hearts and Ancient Rubble, and one wanders the Ruins of the Ancient island. Missed drops wait in a shop's Lost Items. Tip: Ancients (stone giants) drop 3 Ancient’s Hearts and 16 Ancient Rubble over about three or four kills. One wanders the Ruins of the Ancient island; missed drops wait in a shop’s Lost Items.

Father and Son

Earn every other achievement in the game. Leave the Valkyrie Queen and the Niflheim Center Chamber until last, once your gear is fully upgraded. Tip: Leave the Valkyrie Queen and the Niflheim Center Chamber for last, once your gear is maxed.
