Act 1
Emergence
Point of no return: After the Cafe, the route leads to a yellow ladder, over a wall and across the Police HQ plaza, and the building door ends the chapter. Get #3 (Front Page of the Kalona Times) before you climb that ladder.
- Monster Jaw (Reliable). Right after the first Wretch fight (the one where all you have for melee is the wrench) and the short cutscene that follows it. Once you can move again, look at the ground on your right in front of the news kiosk/newsstand, next to the first emergence hole. The item lies beside a body, at the spot where the blue van stood before it dropped into the pit. It is small and black, so it is easy to walk past.
- Bloody Transit Worker's Helmet (Reliable). From the underpass, rubble blocking the road pushes you into a wrecked maintenance tunnel. Kick open the door on the left and jump down the gap at the far end to reach the lower level. In the corridor there, a small side room or opening on your LEFT holds a dead worker and lockers; your flashlight beam picks out the helmet (a hard hat) lying on the floor. It is just before a yellow ladder. A Wretch sits in the ceiling vent nearby: ignore it and turn the corner.
- Front Page of the Kalona Times (Reliable). After you lift the column off the trapped civilian and kill the Wretch wave from the second emergence hole, go down some steps and across the street into the "Cafe & Bakery". Head through the kitchen door at the back (it is beside the counter, under the TV on the left). The paper is on the kitchen counter or metal table, next to the fridge. If it isn't there, check the dark area at the far left of the kitchen. Watch out: Get this before you climb the yellow ladder after the Cafe (point of no return).
Survival of the Fittest
Point of no return: Leading the civilians out and dropping off the ledge ends the chapter. Both Recruitment Center items are inside the center.
- KPD Police Bulletin (Check in game). First big room of the police station (the desk/bullpen room). It is on a desk in the back-left area: the back-left corner, where two desks are pushed together. If it isn't there, check the desk in front of a corkboard, the one next to a free-standing bulletin board, the right side of the desk near the back wall, or the desk by a police computer. Grab it before you bust through the nearby door.
- Bloodied Police Chief's Badge (Reliable). After the shooting-range fight (Locusts burst from sinkholes), go down a stairwell into a wrecked small office and open the door labelled "Tactical Operations", which leads to a large meeting room. The Chief is speared to the far wall. The badge is right under or next to him, on a shelf to his left. If it isn't there, check the floor, in the pool of blood beneath him.
- Army Recruitment Pamphlet (Reliable). After you kill the Locusts outside the Recruitment Center, you are let in. At the back of the main room, behind the central reception desk, look on the desk or cabinet against the back wall, below the big COG emblems.
- Try On Pilot Helmet (Reliable). Same room as the pamphlet, to the right of it, on a display of helmets: it is the third helmet from the left. If it isn't there, check the display at the far end of the room, where both this item and the pamphlet show up as shining items.
A Gear in Need
Point of no return: Leaving the store after the cutscene; do #2 (Broken Lancer Bayonet) first. #1 (Tomatoes, Canned) is before the store fight.
- Tomatoes, Canned (Reliable). Enter the store through the rear freight/loading entrance (a bayonet-charge tutorial plays out just before). Cross the first warehouse room to the second storage room and head for its left side: the item lies at floor level in a cardboard box or tray, behind or alongside the leftmost row of shelves, with a dead body next to it. If it isn't there, check the hall on the left of your warehouse, on the way to help the Gear who is manning the machine gun. Pick it up before you open the metal doors into the main store. Watch out: Before the store fight – grab it before opening the metal doors into the main store.
- Broken Lancer Bayonet (Reliable). After you hold the store, a cutscene plays (Marcus gets his scar, Tai chainsaws a Drone). When control returns, do not follow the others outside: look at the bisected Locust body at your feet/next to you, where the bayonet sticks out of its chest. It is within a few steps of where you regain control.
Back in the Fold
Point of no return: Passing the Echo Park gate leads to the plaza fight and the Brumak, then Act 2. #4 (COG Tags of Private Brick Rosso) is the last one.
- Front Page of the Tyran Chronicle (Reliable). Start of the chapter (Pomeroy Station, escorting Mayor Shaw down the street). Stay on the right side and look for the vertical "Bar & Lounge" sign (a phone booth is on the left, the bar on the right). Cut into the alcove/wide alley to the right of the bar; the newspaper is on the doorstep/porch. If it isn't on the doorstep, check the stairs.
- Anti-UIR Propaganda Poster (Check in game). Once the alley fights are done (Drones sit on a balcony; frag them), push through a gate into a wide, wrecked street facing the Landa clinic. Do not follow the squad yet: take the short flight of steps down, swing sharply right and keep along the wall. The poster hangs on the wall opposite the red Major Burger truck/van, further along the wall on your right.
- Landa Memorial Medical Supplies Memo (Reliable). Inside the clinic after the Elite Grenadier fight (shotguns + smoke grenades). Don't go for the exit; turn right in the lobby/reception area. The item is on the reception desk, immediately on your right as you enter. If it isn't there, check the room to the right, where a desk holds several monitors.
- COG Tags of Private Brick Rosso (Reliable). After the parking-lot emergence-hole (grenade) tutorial you reach the street between the clinic and Echo Park. Before going through the park gate, look to your left: a blue police car is there, with a body behind or beside it. The tags are behind the car. Watch out: Last item of Act 1 Chapter 4: passing the Echo Park gate leads to the plaza fight and the Brumak, then Act 2.
Act 2
Bravo Squad
Point of no return: The stadium entrance fight, then entering the stadium, ends the chapter. #5 (Medic's First Aid Kit) is before that.
- COG Helmet With Bullet Hole (Reliable). Right at the beginning of the Act, just beyond the camp. Go to the far end of the street (a tank/vehicle drives aside to clear a path on your right), then turn left, behind the burnt-out bus: a soldier is propped against rubble, with the helmet on the floor. If you don't see it there, check the opposite side of the scene where Gears are standing around a fire beside the bus.
- Sniper Goggles (Reliable). After you clear the bridge and the Breechshot snipers you enter the first control room (objective "activate the bridge"). Don't go to the central console yet: take a left in the first control room, go down the short corridor at the far end of the room to a dead Locust, and take its goggles.
- Bridge Worker's Lunch Kit (Reliable). After you cross the bridge (Charlie Squad covering you from above) and get down a ladder to the gantry underneath the bridge: turn left (don't run straight), then left again to the dead end/rear wall of the left walkway, in front of two "police line" barriers. This is on the way to the east control room: when your allies turn right on the catwalk, you turn left.
- Thrashball RUSH Magazine (Check in game). East control room (the second one). Cross the room to the opposite end from where you came in. It sits on a table/cabinet along the far wall, with a little metal caddy carrying milk and coffee on top of it.
- Medic's First Aid Kit (Check in game). After the Heavy Boomer fight at the bridge's far end, go through the metal door and down to the lower level. Check behind the Station Wagon, ahead of the COG truck. If it isn't there, go to the foot of the stairs, turn right and look on the floor to your left, facing a truck. Failing that, go one flight down and check the back, by a truck parked sideways. Watch out: Get it before the stadium entrance fight: entering the stadium ends the chapter.
Hold the Line
Point of no return: Leaving through Octus Way Station puts you in Part 2, and it isn't known whether you can come back north afterwards, so finish Part 1 first to be safe. The bank vault (#18) and the muster-point Hard Cases only open after story steps; "Link up with Charlie" opens the gate for Hard Case #18. Lone Wolf and Muster Point Instructions in Part 3 unlock after you find Whiskey Squad. After you leave the Kalona Hotel and drop to street level, the next fights lead to the final plaza and a ledge drop into Chapter 3. Part 3 Hard Case #8 is right after the hotel, so grab it before the plaza.
- Cinema Filmatica Magazine (Reliable). Iron Coast Motors car dealership on your left as you enter the main area (also where the first secondary objective is). Go through the main entrance, left into the back room/garage, then immediately right. The magazine (it is about "They Came From B-Low") is on the counter by a TV and radio. If it isn't there, check the small desk, or the metal side shelf.
- A Letter Home (Reliable). Only appears once you have started the Trapped Family secondary objective. After the Juvie wave, open the shutter/garage door, walk through the garage and take the hallway to the right into a small back room. The framed letter hangs on the wall on the right; turn right once you are in the corridor.
- Thrashies Cereal Box (Reliable). In the store/fuel station where you help the other Gears squad (the store is called Timgad Prime; turn left after entering). The box is on the counter. If it isn't there, check a shelf.
- Hard Case – Part 1 (behind burnt bus) (Check in game). Exit the Trapped Family car park the way the Juvies arrived, turn left onto the main road and follow it to a junction where both directions dead-end, then go right. The case is behind the burnt-out bus, with a Juvie standing guard. If it isn't there, look behind a bus where a wrecked street ends, roughly in the middle of the section: turn right out of the dealership before the Trapped Family start crying out, and look beside a wrecked car that is on fire. Rewards: Spreadshot Burst (Hammerburst), Mobile Stabilizer (Lancer Mk1).
- Hard Case – Part 1 reference #1 (behind the burnt bus) (Unconfirmed). After you pass the Supply Cache introduction, you enter the open area. On the way from the first side objective (the used-car dealership) toward Trapped Family, you hear two people calling for help. Before you go to them, turn right onto the street. The case is behind a bus at the end of a ruined street near the middle of the section, beside a wrecked car that is on fire. It holds Spreadshot Burst (Hammerburst) and Mobile Stabilizer (Lancer Mk1).
- SO: The Vanguard (Reliable). At the dealership: speak to the COG soldier by the entrance opposite the one you came through. An E-hole opens and enemies come out. Rewards: upgrade parts, Bayonet (Hammerburst) and Cover Brace (Lancer Mk1).
- SO: Trapped Family (Reliable). Alley on the right off the main street after the dealership, in the car park in front of the Last Dollar store; you hear cries. Kill the Juvie charge, raise the shutter at the right-hand side of the building, step behind the counter and push the button next to the cash register. Rewards: Precision Long Barrel (Breechshot), Bayonet (Gnasher). Unlocks the collectible "A Letter Home".
- Kalona Postcard (Reliable). Leave the station by the big door next to the Supply station, turn right, down a small flight of steps, past the pawnbroker, into a barricaded plaza and on to a stone bench; the postcard is on the ground below/in front of it.
- Vandalized Salvaging Poster (Check in game). Major Burger restaurant opposite the construction site, right in front of you at the start. The poster is in the restroom. If it isn't there, check the back wall.
- Foreman's Datapad (Check in game). Go up into the construction site south-west of the exit. At the back of the main room, on the back-left (assuming you enter from the east), turn right into an alcove with the dead foreman. If it isn't there, check the ground floor, back right. Failing that, try the lowest floor, or the far back.
- COG Tags of Private Liz Waxman (Check in game). In the apartment building north-east/east of the station exit. In the stairwell on the lower floors, shoot out the window and jump onto the scaffolding; the tags are on the floor to the left. If you don't find them, check the scaffolding on the east side.
- Emgazi Blitz Display Case (Reliable). Same apartment building as Waxman's tags, top floor (3rd). A Locust fires from a window; take cover beside the only open apartment door, kill the Drone, then go to the bedroom. The case is on a desk next to a PC.
- Birthday Card With Toy Lancer (Check in game). Near the Bank of Tyrus and a collapsed bridge: drop onto the river walkway (through the underground car park). On the walkway by the river, in front of a bench, beside a body, on the eastern side of the walkway. If it isn't there, check west of the bank, facing the river.

- Tales From the Tyran Night Story Book (Check in game). In the Apartment SOS building (a "HELP" sign hangs out of a window). Climb the scaffolding/catwalks on the side to a window (jump the gaps), enter, and look on your left: the book is on a table. If it isn't there, look to the left near the entrance, or on a phone shelf next to the fridge. Use the map's SO marker.
- COG Tags of Master Sergeant Mark Avamor (Check in game). A supply/loading-bay garage with a dead soldier who died fighting a Boomer. If it isn't there, try south of the Bank of Tyrus, where a Locust sniper sits on top of the loading bay. Failing that, turn around from the Trench caricature and check the wrecked loading bay on your right, or look west of the warehouse district.
- Re: Vibration Complaints (Check in game). Across from the Amberstone Storage Company, a building with an upright "Live Music" sign at its corner; a note is stuck to an interior door. If it isn't there, try an apartment building with a Locust soldier coming out, or a small hotel lobby. In every case it is a note attached to a door inside.

- Photograph and Harmonica from Mags' Apartment (Reliable). Automatic, not on the map: after the Imulsion Stockpile mission, you go to Mags' apartment for her meds; you get it after the cutscene.
- War Savings Bond (Reliable). Bank of Tyrus vault: after the Tickers fight, press the green button to open the vault. A box/stack of bonds is on your left as you enter. No Gear Left Behind
Point of no return: Before you speak to Captain Gray and enter the courthouse, open your map and make sure you already hold 4 of the 5 collectibles and five Hard Cases. Hawkins and the 6th Hard Case are inside or after that. The plaza exit is barricaded, so you go around via the Supply Cache and an unbarred door to the Seeder fight.

A dead soldier lies in a corner with the spike in him. If he isn't there, turn right at the corner, follow the city block to a rubble pile and look for a Gear pinned under a lamp. Failing that, go right, under the skytrain tracks.
- Ink-Covered Wrench (Reliable). Golden statue plaza. Look at floor level in the centre of the left-hand area. If it isn't there, run the covered walkway on the left (the one that keeps you away from the Nemacysts) and stop in the far-left plaza next to a body. Failing that, check left, next to a bench/corpse.
- COG Tags of Lieutenant Jane Hawkins (Reliable). After the Seeder fight and the corridor talk with Captain Gray, you walk through the courthouse building and come out of it. Go down the steps and, before the exit gate, look right. The tags are on the floor, right beside the field hospital beds and by a heap of covered bodies. - Hard Case – Ch5 #1 (Unconfirmed). Warehouse: after combat a hole is blown in the opposite wall. The case is to the right of the hole.
- Hard Case – Ch5 #2 (Unconfirmed). After fighting outside, go down into the red-glowing crater. The case is at the bottom as you enter.
- Hard Case – Ch5 #3 (Unconfirmed). In the hangar, between the data pad and the Supply Cache.
Act 3
Stranded
Point of no return: You can't climb back up the slope after the rope descent (see the Army Knife), and the failed Raven extraction later drops you underground into Chapter 2.
- COG Army Knife (Reliable). Come down the rope the abandoned campers left and you reach a fork in the path with a mauled body lying on it. The story marker points right, but take the short detour to the left instead: the knife is on the ground beside a tree next to that body. If it isn't there, keep going straight rather than turning right; it is among the trees. Watch out: Take the knife before you hop down the slope on the right toward the objective: you can't climb back up.
- Fairlight Rifle Range Sign (Reliable). Climb the shipping container to get over the fence into the military training area, then drop down inside. Turn right where the tank is and walk uphill toward the top of the area. The hazard sign about live fire is stuck on the wall beside the fence gate that was blocked from the other side, so that blocked gate is your landmark.
- Gut-Puncher Grenade Rounds (Reliable). Continue forward from the second Hard Case. A large warehouse is on your left with a Supply Cache beside it. The grenade rounds are on some crates immediately to the left of that Supply Cache.
- Prepper's Scavenging Map (Reliable). Your objective sends you to the substation to restore power. Go through the gap in the fence and glance immediately right: a cluster of generators stands there, and the map is wedged between two of them.
- UIR Soldier Shooting Target (Reliable). At the substation entrance, don't walk in. Turn left and follow the outside of the building round to the back; the broken target leans against the fence, beside a piece of machinery.
- Hard Case – Ch1 #1 (Unconfirmed). After you cut through the locked gate, Fairlight Outpost is visible in the distance. Kill the Locust, then hug the left side of the area where they stood and look for a crashed helicopter; the case sits in front of it. You reach it before the Rifle Range Sign.
- Hard Case – Ch1 #2 (Unconfirmed). Drop into the outpost over the shipping container (the same way in as the Rifle Range Sign) and go left. Two red shipping containers are stacked on top of each other, and the case is on the ground in front of them. You reach it after the Rifle Range Sign and before the Grenade Rounds.
- Hard Case – Ch1 #3 (Unconfirmed). Walk into the substation and look left straight away; the case is in the corner. You reach it after the UIR Soldier Shooting Target.
Enemy Lines
Point of no return: The Corpser fight, the collapse and the climb to the surface end the chapter. Erick Davis is in the sewers, so pick up the tags before you leave them.
- Damaged Gnasher Shotgun (Reliable). You reach a large red-lit cavern with tall metal poles; it is so wide that it's easy to run past. Go up the small slope on the right and into the side tunnel with supplies: the shotgun rests on blue military cases, before the obvious yellow Supply Crate and the second red-lit area.
- Parchment and Powder Pouch (Reliable). Soon after the shotgun you enter a wide, better-lit cave full of supplies, where Dom remarks on the Locust supply lines. Go up the slope on the left; the pouch is on top of the crates there, among the supplies.
- Parchment with Indecipherable Writing (Reliable). In the old underground subway station, stay on the right-hand side of both the tracks and the parked subway car. The parchment lies on a stack of crates against the back-right wall, under the stairs to the objective and below a Kalona poster.
- COG Tags of Private Beth Avila (Reliable). You reach the crashed subway cars you must cross to progress; don't cross yet. Pass the platform Hard Case (it should be on your right) and check your left for an opening with a stairway heading down. Go down into the lower space; the tags lie on the ground on the right-hand side, next to a corpse.
- Maintenance Worker's Bloodied Flashlight (Reliable). From the subway platform with the Hard Case, walk away from your objective marker and down the dark tunnel along the train tracks. You will see a red light ahead; follow it to a dead end of wreckage. The flashlight is on the floor on the left of that wreckage.
- COG Tags of Private First Class Erick Davis (Reliable). In the sewers after the huge Locust army is revealed, circle the giant rain-catch basin to the area with the Supply Cache. A Hard Case sits beside the cache, and the tags are on the body immediately to its left. Don't leave the sewers without checking this spot.
- Hard Case – Ch2 #1 (Unconfirmed). Right after the Gnasher Shotgun, keep following the main path. The case sits slightly right of centre, in plain sight. It comes after the Gnasher Shotgun and before the Powder Pouch.
- Hard Case – Ch2 #2 (Unconfirmed). In the underground subway station, go up to the upper floor. On its right-hand side, next to the building supplies, the case is hidden behind some planks. It comes after the Parchment with Indecipherable Writing.
- Hard Case – Ch2 #3 (Unconfirmed). On that same upper floor of the station, the Supply Cache stands in the middle of the area, and the case is immediately to the left of it. It comes right after Hard Case #2.
- Hard Case – Ch2 #4 (Unconfirmed). Later you have to climb over crashed subway cars to continue. Before you do, turn left and climb onto the subway platform, then walk to its far end; the case is in the middle, just before a divider. It comes before the Flashlight.
- Hard Case – Ch2 #5 (Unconfirmed). After you cross the train cars toward the main objective, the case is on the right of the path and easy to spot. It comes after the Avila tags.
- Hard Case – Ch2 #6 (Unconfirmed). You come out of the underground into a wrecked area with a collapsed golden Gear statue ahead. After the fight, drop down on the left side and the case is there. It comes after Hard Case #5.
- Hard Case – Ch2 #7 (Unconfirmed). Keep heading for the objective from the previous case. Before you turn right onto the next path, look left: the case is on the edge of a cliff. It comes after Hard Case #6.
- Hard Case – Ch2 #8 (Unconfirmed). Deep in the sewers you reach a Supply Cache, and the case is right beside it. The Erick Davis tags are immediately to its left, so collect both together.
Last Foothold
Point of no return: The stadium → hotel → convoy sequence leaves the hub. It isn't known how long you can roam, so finish the three side missions and sweep the hub first. Lost in the Park becomes available after you help load the convoy and fight the Spore Matrons for the first time.
- COG Tags of Sergeant First Class Robin Hamill (Reliable). Right at the start of the chapter, with the Kalona Theatre in front of you, go to the right of the theatre and look behind the taxi. The tags are on the ground there, in the same opening area as the big red-glowing Locust hole.
- COG Tags of Corporal Tracy Moore (Reliable). Pick your way along the collapsed streets beneath the elevated sky-train. A building on your right is broken open: climb up and go left into the open apartment, then into the back room, which is on fire. The tags are on the floor.
- Colonel Trench's VIP List (Reliable). This is the deserted COG checkpoint where Tai joins you. Before you scramble over the bus after him, veer right to the tents on the north side: the document is on a table under the tent.
- COG Tags of Private Luis Garcia (Reliable). On the way to the library a Locust fight starts. When it is over, go right and climb the ledges, and keep walking until you reach the top, then turn back toward the drop edge. A shipping container stands on your right, and the tags are inside it.
- Captain Grey's Field Journal (Reliable). In the library where Captain Grey briefs you (there is a tactical map table in the middle of the room), turn right and go into the room at the back right. The open journal is on a table next to a computer.
- Locust Pistol Ammunition (Reliable). On the way to the hotel along the river, go to the front of the library and apartment area on the river side. The ammo pack lies on the ground in front of a row of four park benches, next to a dead Locust. The Havelock tags are in this same area, so pick both up together.
- COG Tags of Specialist Bernard Havelock (Reliable). Near the river, a Downtown Line train hangs where it fell onto Jackson's van. Climb up the van, step into the train car and look to your right for the tags. This is by the four park benches, in the same area as the Locust Pistol Ammunition.
- COG Tags of Private First Class John Carnahan (Reliable). From the river area, keep following the main road until it ends. A sealed-up shelter (Shelter 05) with a blue facade and a COG emblem stands on the right, in the far south-east, round the corner from the Kalona Hotel. A dead Gear sits to the right of the entrance with the tags on him.
- Damaged Heavy Locust Helmet (Reliable). You need the Lost in the Park side mission. Once the park is clear, look to the left, go through the gate in the wall onto the road, and turn right. A big sinkhole is there, and the helmet lies next to a parked police car and a dead Boomer. Expect heavy Locust fire around the sinkhole.
- COG Tags of Private Oded Bay (Reliable). Go round the back of the Kalona Police Department to the bloody fountain the Locust left as a message. Jump into the fountain; the tags are in it.
- Blade-like Projectiles (Reliable). Side-mission locked: it only appears once you have beaten the new flying enemy during the main story, and you need to start the Rooftop Mayday side mission to reach it. Near the hospital, saw open a blocked gate and climb the stairs; on the mezzanine, before the mission's actual objective, a corpse carries orange blade-like projectiles.
- COG Tags of Private Terrance Sander (Reliable). Go to the Kalona Police Department. Walk along the right-hand side of the building and go in through the door on the left. A body lies at the entrance, and the tags are on the ground just to its right.
- COG Tags of Specialist Rachel Carnahan (Check in game). Go to the upper floor of Landa Memorial Hospital. From the entrance you used earlier, go left and up the stairs, then turn left at the top; the tags are on a dead Gear there. If it isn't there, check the second floor of the ER wing, next to the snack vending machine by the door. If that fails, climb the ambulance up to the broken hospital sign, go into the admissions and emergency room area, and look there.
- Landa Memorial Hospital Evacuation Order (Reliable). Enter the hospital at ground level and keep to the right. The order is on a filing cabinet behind the reception desk, near the whiteboard, after you retake the building.
- Hard Case – Ch3 #1 (Unconfirmed). Facing the Kalona Theatre from where you start, turn around and head left along the subway entrance. The case sits outside the pool hall. It comes before Robin Hamill's tags.
- Hard Case – Ch3 #2 (Unconfirmed). Leave the building where you found Tracy Moore's tags and keep going. The case is on the left-hand side of the road, right at the edge. It comes after Tracy Moore's tags.
- Hard Case – Ch3 #3 (Unconfirmed). After you climb over the bus following Tai, turn right and go up the street. The case is on the left, against a wall. It comes after Colonel Trench's VIP List.
- Hard Case – Ch3 #4 (Unconfirmed). In the library, during the briefing at the tactical map table in the middle of the room, look in the back-left corner for the case. The Field Journal is in the room at the back right. It comes after Luis Garcia's tags.
- Hard Case – Ch3 #5 (Unconfirmed). At Landa Memorial Hospital, clear out the Locust and look on the roof above the entrance. It comes after Captain Grey's Field Journal.
- Hard Case – Ch3 #6 (Unconfirmed). Take the road that runs past the right side of the hospital. A Supply Cache stands in front of a row of buildings on your left; the case is just in front of the cache, on its right, where the left-turning road begins. It comes after the hospital collectibles.
- Hard Case – Ch3 #7 (Unconfirmed). Heading back toward the library, turn right into an underpass. On your left is the entrance to an underground parking lot (Marcus says there is something in the garage). Go in: the case is against the back-left wall. Expect an ambush. It comes before the police department.
- Hard Case – Ch3 #8 (Unconfirmed). The Kalona Police Department is to the right of the parking-lot entrance. At the intersection, find the stairs on your right that lead up to a sky-train platform; the case is up on that platform. It comes before Terrance Sander's tags.
- Hard Case – Ch3 #9 (Unconfirmed). From the top of the library steps (the area from Act 2), go into the supermarket with the yellow sign and green letters. The case is in the back room, where an Act 2 collectible was, guarded by a Ticker. It comes after Terrance Sander's tags and Weak Signal.
- Hard Case – Ch3 #10 (Unconfirmed). Shoot out the windows to get into the pharmacy building on the corner, not far from the front of the Kalona Hotel. It comes after Oded Bay's tags.
- Hard Case – Ch3 #11 (Unconfirmed). After the Pistol Ammunition spot, look to the right for Gears fighting Locust at a roadblock. Go down the stairs to the underpass on their left; the case is beneath the roadblock. It comes after the Havelock tags and the Pistol Ammunition.
- Hard Case – Ch3 #12 (Check in game). This twelfth Hard Case has no location of its own. The only description given for it is the same underpass-roadblock spot as Hard Case #11, so its real position is unknown. Its only anchor is that it comes after John Carnahan's tags. Don't guess: if the chapter counter still reads 11/12 after you have taken #11, one case is still hidden.
- SO: Lost in the Park (Unconfirmed). After you help the Gears load the convoy and fight the Spore Matrons for the first time, stand facing the Kalona Hotel and go to the right. The mission starts in the corner on your left. The doors on the right lead into the park: wipe out every Locust there, and find the civilian hiding beneath the steps where you come into the park from higher ground. Finishing it unlocks the Damaged Heavy Locust Helmet. The reward isn't known.
- SO: Rooftop Mayday (Unconfirmed). The third side mission in this hub. Its start point isn't known yet, so use the map and listen for a squad-mate calling it out; a Mayday call near the hospital may belong to it. Starting it unlocks the Blade-like Projectiles collectible.
- SO: Weak Signal (Unconfirmed). Cross the road from the Kalona Police Department to the side opposite the road you ran up, and find the loading bay. Go to the back of it; the mission starts on the right. Finish it by killing all the Locust that spawn and rush you.
The Convoy
Point of no return: It isn't known whether the upper bridge stays reachable once you drop through the hole to the lower level, so take the Hard Case at the end of the upper bridge (Hard Case 2) before you drop.
- COG Tags of Private Rudy Bartholomew (Reliable). Near the start of the chapter, head up the road. Over the barricade on your left, a burnt-out car is still blazing with a dead soldier slumped against its side; the tags are with him. After the first encounter, move over to the left lane and backtrack if you missed him.
- Locust Crest (Reliable). Lower the bridge, then drop through the hole to the lower level. After you clear those enemies and the convoy starts moving again, stay on the right side of the bridge. You reach an overturned police car, and the crest lies on the ground right in front of it.
- COG Tags of Corporal Kevin Garbor (Check in game). Climb onto the crate or truck below the window and go into the control room where you lower the barrier. Inside, the tags are on a dead COG soldier in the middle of the floor, just before the console you have to operate.
- Hard Case – Ch4 #1 (Unconfirmed). Further up the road past the Bartholomew tags, a small courtyard opens on your left. Once the Locust are dead, go down the steps and head for the back-right corner. It comes after Bartholomew's tags.
- Hard Case – Ch4 #2 (Unconfirmed). On the upper deck on the approach to the control room, cross the bridge from its left side to its right; the case is tucked beneath a military truck. You reach it before the control room.
- Hard Case – Ch4 #3 (Unconfirmed). After you leave the control room and fight on the bridge, you are told to drop through a hole to the lower level. First walk to the end of the bridge: the case is on the left side, next to a barricade. It comes before the Locust Crest.
- Hard Case – Ch4 #4 (Unconfirmed). Later you have to climb a rope. Before that, go to the right of the ropes and behind the vehicles; the case sits on top of crates along the left side of the road. It comes after the Locust Crest.
- Hard Case – Ch4 #5 (Unconfirmed). Once you are back on the upper level, hop onto the crate and climb in through the window to the control room. Just inside, check the left part of the main space. It comes right before the Garbor tags.
Desperate Times
Point of no return: After the tower is secured you go back down to street level for the final run. Take the Explosive Bolt first: go up the clock tower instead of taking the way down.
- A Bottle of Iron Coast Beer (Reliable). The chapter starts with a Locust fight on a roof. Afterwards go inside to the first apartment room, where Marcus tries to talk to a person sitting on a couch. The body on the sofa has the bottle in front of it, on the floor.
- Portrait of Chairman Jacob Monroe (Reliable). Back inside the apartment block, Wretches attack in the hallway. Kill them, then crawl through the hole in the wall on the left. Right after the Hard Case on the chest of drawers, glance left; the portrait lies on the ground.
- Sanctum of the Fallen Memorial Ceremony Program (Reliable). In the courtyard with the Reaver and several Locust, clear the enemies, then return to the courtyard entrance and keep to the right of the stone barricade in the middle. Head for the far edge; the program lies on the ground beside a stone planter.
- Locust Spiked Shoulder Pad (Reliable). After the cutscene with the Torque Bow Locust, kill the Tickers and climb up the ledge. Cross the bridge on your left; on the far side, bear right of the central tree toward the balcony. The shoulder pad is on the floor beside a Locust body, on the way toward street level.
- Explosive Bolt (Reliable). After you clear the enemies in the clock tower, do not take the way down to street level. Climb up to the top of the tower instead and take the bolt from the floor where the Torque Bow Locust stood. Watch out: Take it before descending to street level.
- Hard Case – Ch5 #1 (Unconfirmed). Immediately after the Iron Coast Beer, look to your right.
- Hard Case – Ch5 #2 (Unconfirmed). Back outside for another Locust fight. When you are told to head back inside, go left instead and pull yourself up a short ledge onto the next level. The case rests on the left, propped against a chain-link fence. It comes after Hard Case #1.
- Hard Case – Ch5 #3 (Unconfirmed). Back inside, kill the Wretches and crawl through the hole in the wall on the left. The case is straight ahead on a chest of drawers. It comes just before the Monroe portrait.
- Hard Case – Ch5 #4 (Unconfirmed). In the courtyard with the Reaver, circle round the left side; the case is next to a stone fence. It comes after the Monroe portrait and before the Memorial Program.
- Hard Case – Ch5 #5 (Unconfirmed). After the cutscene with the Torque Bow Locust, kill the Tickers and climb up a ledge. Before you cross the bridge on your left, turn right instead. It comes after the Memorial Program and before the Spiked Shoulder Pad.
Desperate Measures
- Torn Flag of Tyrus (Reliable). Go in through the main entrance while you are chasing the Brumak, and clear the enemies. When it is quiet, look left and back down the path you came along, which is now blocked. The flag lies against the wall to the right of that blocked path.
- Morith Harbor Snow Globe (Reliable). During the chase you pass through the gift shop. Go in and up the stairs. A display stands on the floor to your left; go past it to the counter that overlooks the hall below, and the snow globe is on it.
- Commander's Letter Home (Reliable). In Fort Vigil, walk to the middle of the fort and turn to face the entrance; a statue stands in the centre. Take every step down on the left side and continue into the corner. The letter is on the ground under a red glow beside a truck.
- Hard Case – Ch6 #1 (Unconfirmed). After the opening fight, work along the fort's left flank. A short flight of steps leads off to your left; take it to find the case. It comes before the Commander's Letter Home.
- Hard Case – Ch6 #2 (Unconfirmed). From the middle of the fort, go to the top of the steps and over to the left side. A long walkway runs out from there, and the case is at its end. It comes after the Commander's Letter Home.
- Hard Case – Ch6 #3 (Unconfirmed). Stand with the statue in the centre behind you, facing the main entrance, and look left: the case is behind a barrier. It comes before the Torn Flag of Tyrus.
- Hard Case – Ch6 #4 (Unconfirmed). From the flag, turn around and follow the wall on the left. Climb the ledge and keep going forward; the case is on your left. It comes after the Torn Flag of Tyrus.
- Hard Case – Ch6 #5 (Unconfirmed). From the Snow Globe, turn round to face the stairs you climbed, step out left onto the balcony and follow it to its far end. It is very easy to miss: the game gives no 'Hard Case nearby' prompt and the case doesn't glow. It comes after the Morith Harbor Snow Globe.
Act 4
Hope and Ruin
- COG Tags of Sergeant Major Hank Rustin (Unconfirmed). Automatic: the tags unlock the moment the chapter begins, so there is nothing to pick up.
- Message from The Coalition (Reliable). Right at the start of the chapter, walk down to the memorial. The printed message, titled 'Remember the Fallen', sits on the podium.
- COG Tags of Sergeant Betsy (Unconfirmed). After crossing the bridge, turn left. The tags (Sergeant Betsy Barnes) are on the ground close to a wrecked car.
- Regalia Hotel VIP Guest List (Unconfirmed). Go inside the Regalia Hotel and walk straight to the front desk; the guest list is there.
- DISPUTE Magazine (Unconfirmed). Once you are past the cathedral area, keep following the route to the objective until you reach the truck you can interact with, and look behind it. If it isn't there, check the cab of the truck that sits under a tunnel, on the driver's side.
- Anniversary Card and Tickets (Unconfirmed). At the plaza building where several Locust snipers are posted, kill the snipers first, then search the kitchen with the light-blue walls. The card (full name 'Anniversary Card and Tickets to Khindago') is on the countertop.
- A Handwritten Letter, in Vasgari (Unconfirmed). Head for the market on the far left side of the map and go to its rear. The letter is on the floor in the part where paintings are on display.
- COG Tags of Specialist Harrison Alexieff (Unconfirmed). On the road toward the university, stay on the main path. A garden sits on a raised platform at the top; the tags are on one of the dead bodies there.
- Statuette of Roman Kalona (Unconfirmed). In the red Souvenirs store (the gift shop) shortly before the town-square objective. The statuette is on the counter with the T-shirts.
- COG Tags of Specialist Dale Maddoc (Unconfirmed). Along the side of the university building, close to a side-mission spot. Look for a wall with blood running down it; the tags are on the floor below.
- Blood Splattered Ulk Plushie (Unconfirmed). Along the street that runs up to the Opera House, scan the ground as you go; the plushie lies in front of a blue car.
- Light Darker Opera Program (Unconfirmed). Inside the Opera House, go up to the balcony on the second floor.
- COG Tags of Specialist Mei Aoi (Unconfirmed). Follow the street along the left side of the Opera House all the way to its end before you leave the area; the tags lie there.
Technical Difficulties
Point of no return: Landry's tags are time-limited: get off the train as soon as it stops and be back on before it leaves. If you miss it, you may have to replay the chapter from the start.
- COG Tags of Sergeant Aman Landry (Unconfirmed). When the Downtown Line train stops for the first Locust fight, get off at once. The tags are just below the Westbound-Eastbound sign at that stop. Be quick: get back on the train before it starts moving again. Watch out: Time-limited: do this before the train leaves. If you miss it, you may have to replay the chapter from the start.
- N0 80 Graffitied Poster (Unconfirmed). After the train stops, retrace your steps along the rails and take the right-hand tunnel; the poster is on its left wall.
Tough as Nails
Point of no return: The Port of Kalona Docking Registry belongs to the final main objective, so treat it as the chapter's last pick-up.
- Young Artists Night Poster (Unconfirmed). At the open field, take the first street on the left. The green poster is on that street.
- Maranday Apple Brandy Bottle (Unconfirmed). Near the poster: carry on north along the same street.
- COG Tags of Corporal Goran Ducaine (Unconfirmed). In the warehouse-style building in the north (upper) part of the map. Use the rope to climb to the rooftop; the tags are beside the huge dead Locust.
- A Letter Regarding Armadillos (Unconfirmed). Find the Seradyne Industries building where you defend civilians. On the first floor, go into the room there; the letter is on the desk.
- COG Tags of Lance Corporal Calder Hunt (Unconfirmed). Inside a building next to the train yard; step in as you pass. No side, floor or landmark is known beyond that, so this one is vague.
- R.I.G Component (Unconfirmed). Climb into an empty carriage in the train yard; the component is next to the generator.
- Imulsion Blast Charge (Unconfirmed). Finish the side mission in the north-east of the map first; the charge is the reward for completing it.
- Refiner's Union Jacket (Unconfirmed). Turn your back on the spot where you were handed the Imulsion Blast Charge and go into the weapon-warehouse building on the right; the jacket is upstairs on the second floor.
- COG Tags of Lieutenant Jacob Palma (Unconfirmed). Inside the refinery building, search as you move through; a body without a head carries the tags.
- Severed JACK Bot Head (Unconfirmed). Inside the largest factory, in the centre of the map. Explore the main floor and go to the sofa in the corner; the head is there.
- Blurry Photo of Locust Attack (Unconfirmed). In a small side room of the factory in the centre of town. It is easy to walk past, so check the rooms off the main path.
- COG Tags of Lance Corporal Dalia Avdol (Unconfirmed). On a collapsed bridge inside the factory: jump the gap to the raised, broken platform to reach the tags.
- Seradyne Factory Closure Sign (Unconfirmed). In the factory that hosts the last side mission of this chapter, down on the ground floor.
- Port of Kalona Docking Registry (Unconfirmed). As part of the last main objective, climb the tower and take the registry from the console in the middle at the top, a square blue unit. Watch out: At the chapter's end, so treat it as the last pick-up of the chapter.
Signals
- Infinity Mints (Unconfirmed). At the only gas station in this chapter. It is easy to find once you glance off the main path.
- Signed Kalona Eagles Cap (Unconfirmed). Below the bridge on the way to the comms tower. Look underneath rather than running across.
- Photo of Lucas and his friends (Unconfirmed). Inside the comms tower; search the pinboard on the wall.
- Lucas' Handheld Radio (Unconfirmed). Also inside the comms tower, across the room from the pinboard, on a desk.
- Pair of Binoculars (Unconfirmed). Take the bridge on the far side of the comms-tower area and walk to the end of it without turning back early.
Paths Diverge
- COG Tags of Lance Corporal Aniyah Musa (Unconfirmed). As soon as the chapter begins, go left straight away and the tags are there. Do this before anything else.
- COG Tags of Lance Corporal Ava Wilson (Unconfirmed). On the route to the reactor, in the last area of the chapter. Keep an eye on the floor while you head for the objective; no side, floor or landmark is known, so this one is vague.
Critical Failure
Point of no return: Dalia Fabbri's Research Journal is in the final room; once the boss fight triggers, you can't take it.
- Bust of Allfather Decha Timgad (Unconfirmed). Immediately inside the Timgad refinery entrance; take it on your way in, before any fighting.
- Damaged Gas Mask (Unconfirmed). Out in the open part of the refinery before the tunnel, tucked in a corner. Look around the space instead of running for the tunnel.
- Tyran Business Monthly (Unconfirmed). After you rejoin the rest of your squad, look in the small room on the left; the magazine is on the floor.
- Memorandum to Dr. Elliot (Unconfirmed). In an office in the Central Channel section that the story takes you through. Check the desk before you leave.
- Dalia Fabbri's Research Journal (Unconfirmed). In the last room, before the boss encounter. Take it before you trigger the fight: once it starts you can't. Watch out: Last chance before the boss.
Act 5
One Problem at a Time
- COG Tags of Private Lorin Galvin (Unconfirmed). After the train section ends and you are on foot again, glance left before you enter the park zone; a body with the tags lies on the ground.
Ghost Town
- COG Tags of Specialist Wallace Teale (Unconfirmed). As soon as the chapter starts, turn left toward the containers; the corpse with the tags is there. Do it straight away, within the first few seconds.
- Clinical Test Trial Medication (Unconfirmed). In the hospital you pass through, go to the second floor and look around the surgery room; the medication is on the desk.
- COG Tags of Master Sergeant Joseph Kopec (Unconfirmed). On the top floor of the Landa Courts apartment building during the escape: use the lift rope to reach that floor, then find the burning room where a body is slumped in a chair. Stop and take the tags even though your instinct is to keep running.
Storm Clouds
Resolute
- COG Tags of Lieutenant Enola Tabaaha (Unconfirmed). Just before the room where Michaelson waits, veer left; a body with the tags is there.
- Captain's Log, CNV Resolute (Unconfirmed). In the high-command meeting room with Michaelson. Look around the room during the cutscene instead of standing still: it sits on a shelf cabinet in a corner.
- CNV Resolute Decommissioning Plans (Unconfirmed). Follow the main objective to a room that looks like a workshop. Squeeze beneath the generator; the plans are on the table beyond it.
- COG Tags of Lieutenant Arthur Palarmo (Unconfirmed). During the Zee escort you climb a ladder. At the top, turn around: the body and its tags are directly across from the ladder.
- Sketch of the Kalona Skyline (Unconfirmed). In the final area of the chapter, the one with the crane, climb the crane right to the top; the sketch is on a desk there.
The Fall of Kalona
Point of no return: The last two items are automatic at the end. The Alton Hau tags are on the impaled-bodies bridge and may be near the end of the chapter (unclear).
- COG Tags of Sergeant Alton Hau (Check in game). Cross the bridge lined with impaled bodies and check the bodies in front of the broken, burning car; the tags are among them. It is described as the bridge from Act 1.
- COG Tags of Sergeant Bryce Valen (Unconfirmed). Automatic after you defeat the final boss.
- Carlos Santiago's COG Tags and Photo (Unconfirmed). Automatic: it arrives after you finish the game and the ending plays.
